It’s during those moments when it’s easy to feel uprooted—shaken by trials, hurt by others, or burdened by uncertainty. Yet, just as a tree stands firm because its roots reach deep into the nourishing soil, we too can stand strong when our roots reach deep into Christ, our Redeemer.

I love the thought of being rooted in Christ. To be rooted in Christ means that we focus on allowing to His love, His teachings, and His Spirit become the foundation that steadies our souls. In Him we are strong. In Him we are nourished in peace, love, compassion, faith and strength.

Paul taught; “As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and established in the faith…” — Colossians 2:6–7

When our roots are in Christ, we are not defined by the storms around us but by the strength beneath us. 💛 We are able to focus on Christ and be reminded that “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)

The Savior said,

“Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them… is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock.” — Luke 6:47–48

That rock is Christ.

In the moments when people test our patience, when fear whispers doubts, or when our hearts ache from loss or loneliness, we can pause and remember where we are rooted. His light and love flow quietly beneath the surface, ready to sustain us if we stay connected through prayer, scripture, and stillness.

Tonight in class we will focus on a beautiful meditation about being rooted in Christ. I hope that you can join us to turn off the world and focus not only on strengthening your body but also allowing yourself to be rooted in Christ. Here’s are a few mindfulness exercises that you can practice today.

1. “The Deep Root” Breath

Sit still for a moment. Breathe deeply and imagine your breath drawing strength from deep roots reaching into Christ’s love.

As you inhale, say silently: “I am grounded in Christ.”

As you exhale, say: “He strengthens me.”

Let His peace fill your mind and body. Stay in this sacred stillness for one minute. 💛

2. “Scripture Root Reflection”

Open your scriptures and read one verse about Christ’s strength (for example, Philippians 4:13).

As you read slowly, ask:

• What truth is Christ teaching me here?

• How can this truth steady me today?
Write one short sentence to carry with you, such as “Christ is my anchor,” or “Through Him, I am strong.” Repeat it whenever challenges arise.

Here are a few anchoring scriptures to help us.

• “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” — Philippians 4:13

• “Therefore, dearly beloved brethren, let us cheerfully do all things that lie in our power; and then may we stand still, with the utmost assurance, to see the salvation of God.” — Doctrine and Covenants 123:17

• “Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” — Joshua 1:9

• “Ye must build your foundation upon my rock… a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.” — Helaman 5:12

❤️ That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. (Ephesians 3:17-19)

Our goal for this week is to strengthen our roots in Christ. To allow ourselves to feel His love in the difficult as well as in the beautiful moments that we face in our lives.

That we may live in gratitude daily for the ways in which we are able to “water our roots” & for the ways in which the storms of life also strengthen our roots. That we may trust in God daily and be able to be filly rooted in Him and feel His love no matter what we may be facing.

Remember that Christ doesn’t always calm every storm immediately—but when we are rooted in Him, He calms us first. ❤️ His roots of mercy, peace, and strength hold us steady when life feels uncertain. The deeper we let those roots grow—through faith, prayer, and obedience—the more unshakable we become.

Let your heart whisper today:

“No matter what comes, I will stay rooted in Christ. He is my rock, my Redeemer, and my rest.”

Love you all and hope to see you tonight at 7pm! 💖

Love,

Lili 🌸

We all have those moments when the storms of life rage and the winds of discouragement blow.
