Although we often see “the highs” of people on social media and around us. We never really know exactly what people are actually experiencing. The difficulties they’re going through, or what challenges they’re having to endure quietly.

We know that comparing ourselves to others, or having feelings that we’re above or below others, completely steals our joy and our ability to recognize our own blessings. The best thing we can all do is to look up to God in the hills and the valleys of our lives and reach out to help those around us who need us. And when we’re facing our own valleys that we may be willing to accept the help when others offer it to us too. 💛

There is a powerful moment in the scriptures when the enemies of Israel claimed that God was only “a God of the hills”. That His power was limited to the high places, the victories, the visible triumphs. But through the prophet in 1 Kings 20, when the Lord responds with certainty: He is not only the God of the hills, but also the God of the valleys. Not just present in the strength, but present in struggle. He also lets them know that He’s not only in rising, but in the moments of refining.

How often do we see that happening in our lives? There are seasons when we stand on the hills. On the highs of our lives when prayers feel answered, hearts feel full, and everything seems to be aligned and going well. In those moments, it can be easy to celebrate the blessing without fully recognizing the true giver. The one who gently lifted us there. Every good thing, every glimpse of joy, every moment of peace, if we can see it carefully it all traces back to Him. To having God with us as we climbed up the mountain to where we feel great.

And then come the valleys.

The valleys can feel heavy, quiet and lonely. These are the moments when burdens press down on us, we feel weighed down and heavy, when answers seem distant, and when faith can feel so distant. 🙁 But it is in this very moment, especially in that valley, that His presence becomes even more sacred. 😭 Because He does not watch from above… He walks beside us. It’s bee in my deepest valleys when I have felt God the most. We all reach rock bottom sometimes and have to look up to Him to allow Him to be thee for us. & we see that HE IS THERE IN THE VALLEY WITH US. ❤️

In Matthew 11:28–30, the Savior’s invitation is deeply personal: “Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.” He doesn’t say, “Come only when you are strong,” or “Come only when you have it all together.” He says come as you are. 🥹 Tired, burdened, searching. His yoke is not meant to weigh us down, but to bind us to Him, so we never have to go through life alone.

So, please remember today that

God is just as present in your valley as He is on your hill.

And His love does not rise and fall with your circumstances.❤️

The invitation today for all of us is: To remember Him in the light and to reach for Him in the dark.💫 That we may build a relationship that does not depend on the season, but is rooted in trust in Christ and in His loving ability to rescue us, comfort us, and bring us His peace.

Here’s a mindfulness exercise to help us.

Find a quiet place. Close your eyes and take a slow, steady breath in… and out.

Picture your life as a landscape.

See the hills or the moments of joy, growth, and light…

Now see the valleys or times of struggle, uncertainty, or pain..

Now gently imagine the Savior, Jesus Christ, walking through it all with you. ❤️😭🙏🏼

Notice something important:

He is not only waiting at the top of the hill.

He is walking every step with you. Descending into valleys, climbing back up beside you.

As you breathe, silently repeat:

“You are with me here.”

Let that truth settle, not just in your mind, but in your heart. ❤️

Stay in that space for a few moments, allowing peace to replace pressure, and companionship to replace loneliness. Allow God to be with you and just listen to the inspiration that comes to your heart and mind.

Our spiritual goal for this week is:

To choose one moment each day, morning or night to turn your heart to God. Not just in asking, but in noticing. Thank Him specifically for something in your “hill,” and invite Him intentionally into your “valley.” ⛰️

Our physical goal for this week:

Take a 10-minute walk each day. As you walk, let it symbolize your journey with Him. With each step, remind yourself: I am not walking alone. ❤️

God is not distant. He is here.

He is constant, steady through the sushine or the storm. 💗

So, hold on to your faith. Trust and believe with all your heart that you have a God who LOVES YOU!!! & who wants to walk with you through the highs and the lows. Come to Him and know that

He will not fail you. He will not forsake you.

Not on the hills… and never in the valleys.❤️

Love you all and hope that you can make it to class tonight at 7 PM to strengthen yourself physically mentally and spiritually. Can’t wait to see you guys and to strengthen ourselves together.

🥰💖🙏🏼

Love,

Lili 🌸

This week I’ve been thinking a lot about the highs and lows that we all have to experience in our lives.
