{"id":42,"date":"2015-11-24T01:31:12","date_gmt":"2015-11-24T01:31:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.lilifitness.com\/blog\/?p=42"},"modified":"2017-01-03T01:31:59","modified_gmt":"2017-01-03T01:31:59","slug":"gratitude","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.lilifitness.com\/blog\/2015\/11\/24\/gratitude\/","title":{"rendered":"Gratitude"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>This week of thanksgiving we can focus on how blessed we have been during this year and how blessed we are now for all that we have and all that we constantly receive. Sometimes we even miss the small blessings and there are so many things that we take for granted.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Thinking about our last email, my thoughts of gratitude have increased during this week. not only for ALL that I have&#8230;but also because I&#8217;m so thankful to live in this Country where there is freedom, security, a love of God, and for the most part peace compared to the rest of the world&#8230;&lt;3 Where we can love and respect each others differences and where people are willing to give, help and serve. I love this country so much! I can say that, because I was born and raised in a country where things were a lot different than they are here&#8230;Living here is a huge blessing to me and it has changed my life completely!!!\u00a0 I thank God for allowing me to be here &amp; to LOVE this country! &lt;3<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Like me, you may all feel the same way&#8230;knowing that there is so much to be thankful for&#8230;the fact that we have THIS day, our health, to be alive TODAY, to have nature around us, family, friends, teachers, a home, water, electricity, and all the material things that surround us&#8230;There really is so much! &lt;3 And we really don&#8217;t control much of what we have&#8230;God provides it ALL!\u00a0 Being grateful for our blessing will bring us closer to \u00a0HIM and will help us recognize His influence in our lives. Even the difficult things we go through can become blessings to us&#8230;the important thing is to have a spirit of gratitude in our hearts. &lt;3<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>There&#8217;s a story in Luke 17 about gratitude which says;<\/div>\n<div><i>\u00b6And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.<\/i><\/div>\n<p><i>12\u00a0And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were\u00a0lepers, which stood afar off:<\/i><br \/>\n<i><a name=\"m_-6877420274127190453_13\"><\/a>\u00a013\u00a0And they lifted up\u00a0their\u00a0voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.<\/i><br \/>\n<i><a name=\"m_-6877420274127190453_14\"><\/a>\u00a014\u00a0And when he saw\u00a0them,\u00a0he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the\u00a0priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.<\/i><br \/>\n<i><a name=\"m_-6877420274127190453_15\"><\/a>\u00a015\u00a0And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,<\/i><br \/>\n<i><a name=\"m_-6877420274127190453_16\"><\/a>\u00a016\u00a0And fell down on\u00a0his\u00a0face at his feet, giving him\u00a0thanks: and he was a Samaritan.<\/i><br \/>\n<i><a name=\"m_-6877420274127190453_17\"><\/a>\u00a017\u00a0And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where\u00a0are\u00a0the\u00a0nine?<\/i><br \/>\n<i><a name=\"m_-6877420274127190453_18\"><\/a>\u00a018\u00a0There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.<\/i><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><i><a name=\"m_-6877420274127190453_19\"><\/a>\u00a019\u00a0And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.<\/i><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>Lets be among the the souls who are full of gratitude! who turn their hearts to God, to fall at His feet to give Him thanks for all that we have. We really would be nothing without all of our blessings. Let&#8217;s be humble and thank Him, not only this week but ALWAYS!!! &lt;3<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>&lt;3 Our Goal for the week is to do an exercise of gratitude:<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>In my family every thanksgiving we pray for our blessings together and we pass out a piece of paper to everyone where we all write down the things that we are thankful for. (It&#8217;s meant to be a personal paper that you can take home with you each year and put up on the fridge etc..) but when everyone in the family is done writing their list we share one thing that we&#8217;re thankful for with the family and we listen to the blessings of others and how grateful they are for them. This exercise brings an awesome feeling of gratitude in the home. I hope you can try it. or if you want to do this alone, just thank God for your blessings, gratitude prayers are the best!!! &lt;3<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0&lt;3 Our physical goal is:<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0that we can have a day to enjoy the thanksgiving food. But the goal is that it won&#8217;t be two or three days of eating bad etc&#8230; Lets try to be really good the other days eating nutritious healthy meals and only being bad on thanksgiving day! \ud83d\ude42 lol Let&#8217;s do it!!! &lt;3<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Hope to see you tonight in class!!! I&#8217;m so excited to have that time to relax, exercise, get rid of stress and do something amazing for ourselves! Bring your friends and family so they can enjoy it too! Love yourself enough to do the BEST for yourself!
