The Prophet Isaiah taught, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord” (Isaiah 55:8). This verse invites us to elevate our thoughts—to seek a higher, more divine perspective in all that we do. It’s always easier to let our thoughts come and go. But when we can practice recognizing and changing our thoughts for the better. This will change our lives! God wants us to be the masters of our minds and learn to elevate our thoughts.

The scriptures repeatedly emphasize the importance of our thoughts and the power of our minds. King Benjamin taught, “Watch yourselves, and your thoughts, and your words, and your deeds” (Mosiah 4:30). Our thoughts shape our actions, our attitudes, and ultimately, our spiritual well-being. When we let our minds dwell on things that are virtuous, lovely, and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8), we align ourselves more closely with the Spirit of the Lord.

So, what are some of the ways that we can elevate our thoughts?

1. Immerse Ourselves in the Scriptures

The words of Christ have the power to cleanse and uplift our minds. As we study the scriptures daily, we invite light and truth into our hearts, replacing fear and negativity with faith and understanding. How amazing for us to be able to recognize that each one of us has the power to replace the negativity with faith and love toward God instead.

2. Pray For a Renewed Mind.

Have you ever thought about asking God to help you change your thoughts? To help you renew your mind? The Apostle Paul encouraged us to be “transformed by the renewing of [our] mind” (Romans 12:2). Prayer is a powerful tool in this process. When we sincerely ask for help in thinking more righteously, the Lord strengthens us to see ourselves and others as He does. We will also see that when we ask God to help us with our thoughts that little prayer in our heart will allow us to be more aware of the thoughts that are coming from the energy vs the thoughts that come from God. He wants to bless our minds to be aligned, anchored and renewed by our Savior Jesus Christ.

3. Guard What We Consume

What we watch, read, and listen to greatly influences our thoughts. If we want to elevate our minds, we should be mindful of what we allow into our hearts. Uplifting music, wholesome entertainment, and positive conversations can help us maintain a spirit of peace.

4. Serve Others with Love

Christlike service shifts our focus from selfish concerns to the needs of others. As we follow the Savior’s example and love our neighbors, our thoughts become more centered on kindness, gratitude, and humility. Service helps us to heal and allows us to be more connected to our creator who is loving, kind and compassionate with all of us.

5. Seek to Have The Spirit & To Be in Holy Places

Our Home can be a holy place, being in nature can be a holy place, attending church of a Temple can also allow our minds and hearts to be lifted toward God. Creating places of peace for ourselves can allow our minds to think “eternal” and encourage us to live a life that is more aligned with God and what He has for our lives.

In addition to spiritual practices, there are also mindfulness techniques that can help us to elevate our thoughts. These are a few techniques can help us become more aware of our thoughts and guide them toward positivity and faith. Here are a few ways to practice mindfulness.

1. Centering Prayer and Breathwork

Take a few moments each day to sit in stillness, focus on your breathing, and silently repeat a scripture or phrase like, “Be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10). This helps calm the mind and create space for inspiration from the Spirit.

2. Thought Awareness and Reframing

Throughout the day, pay attention to your thoughts. When you notice negativity, doubt, or fear creeping in, gently reframe your thinking. For example, replace “I’m not good enough” with “I am a child of God, and He is helping me grow.”

3. Gratitude Journaling

Writing down three things you’re grateful for each day shifts your focus from what’s wrong to what’s right. Gratitude invites more joy and helps us recognize God’s hand in our lives.

4. Mindful Scripture Study

Instead of rushing through scripture reading, slow down. Read a verse or two, pause, and ask, “What does this mean for me today?” Let the words sink into your heart and ponder their personal application.

5. Nature Walks with Purpose

Take a walk outside and intentionally notice God’s creations—the colors of the sky, the feeling of the wind, the sounds of birds. As you do this, offer silent prayers of gratitude, allowing the beauty of the earth to uplift your spirit.

I pray that this message will allow you to check your thoughts. The more aware we are of our thoughts the more we will recognize that there are hidden blessings in having higher thoughts.

When we consciously choose to elevate our thoughts, we invite more joy, clarity, and peace into our lives. President Russell M. Nelson has said, “When you reach up for the Lord’s power in your life with the same intensity that a drowning person has when grasping and gasping for air, power from Jesus Christ will be yours.”

As we strive to elevate our thoughts, we come closer to the Savior. Our faith grows, our burdens feel lighter, and we experience a greater measure of His love and guidance.

Let us make a daily effort to think higher, to align our minds with God’s, and to let our thoughts reflect the light of Christ.

Tonight in class we will not only get rid of stress and allow our bodies to become stronger and healthier. But we will also take a moment to slow down our thinking, renew and strengthen our thoughts to be more aligned and anchored in Christ. I promise that after coming to this class, you’ll feel AMAZING Physically, Mentally and Spiritually. Love you all and hope to see you tonight at 7pm. ❤️🥰

🫶🏼

Lili 🌸

In our fast-paced world, it’s easy for our minds to be filled with distractions, negativity, and even self-doubt.
