I Choose Joy

Choosing joy can be hard sometimes. Specially during the times when we’re trying to endure some of the most difficult moments that life has to offer. On some days even the smallest step toward joy can feel like climbing a mountain. The truth is, we can honor a wide range of feelings, in the span of one day, while moving at any pace we choose toward that which is one step lighter.

Research has shown that although some people are born with a more positive disposition, anyone can reprogram their thoughts to foster more feelings of joy and happiness. Once we become aware of the negative repetitive thoughts that keep us distracted and distressed, we can turn toward prayer and positive affirmations to break the cycle. And over time, these new positive thoughts will become habitual.

Some of the best affirmations we can use, can be found in the word of God. Using scripture to regain peace and strength can become one of our best tools to fight against the negative thoughts that try to take over. God wants us to remember that we can choose to Rejoice.

1 Thessalonians 6:16-18 Says; Rejoice evermore.
Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Joy isn’t optional, it is an essential part of those who believe in God. Because we know and trust in a God who created us to have Joy. We know that He wants us to find joy in the journey. He wants us to learn to CHOOSE that for ourselves. & I believe that if it comes from the word of God, He will someday ask us about how much Joy we chose to focus on in our lives.

When we can feel our connection to God, we can start to see that as children of God, He wants us to experience the ups and downs of life, but that through it all we may find joy and focus on the opportunity of seeing God amidst whatever storm we may be facing. He truly can become the God of our circumstances. We can strengthen our faith in Him, notice the good around us and focus on joy one day at a time.

Joy isn’t a feeling that is dependent on our circumstances. It is a response to the goodness of God and our eternal salvation. Choosing joy has very little to do with how we feel and everything to do with how we obey, how we trust and how we believe in the love of God. ❤️

Choosing joy is a spiritual practice, renewing our connection with the divine as we become lighter, more mindful and more peaceful. When in alignment with the spirit of God we can relax and trust that all things will be done according to His will. We will trust and focus on our blessings. We will see that we are safe. We are home in the peace of God. And this is who we really are.

Our goal for the week is to experiment with positive affirmations. Write down your favorite scriptures on your journal or on your phone. Allow negative thoughts and words to move naturally through you without taking up residence.

Love yourself. Complement yourself. Treasure yourself. Forgive yourself. Eat nutritious foods. Get plenty of sleep. Move your body. Keep company with joyful people.

Read uplifting books. Listen to joyful music. Choose inspirational articles, podcasts and movies. Basically BRING ALL THAT IS GOOD AND UPLIFTING INTO YOUR LIFE.

And finally in your heart say to yourself: I open my heart to the possibility of joy. I am grateful for the gifts of today. I trust that my benevolent God has a divine plan for my highest good. I trust in Him and in myself. I choose Joy in my life. 💛🥰

Hope that you can make it to class tonight at 5:00 pm. We will focus on releasing stress and also on allowing ourselves to focus on being joyful and grateful for all that we have. Remember that you are your own best cheerleader and that the motivation to get yourself to class has to come from YOU! So, do this for yourself and feel the difference. You’ll leave feeling renewed and amazing! ❤️ Hope to see you there! ❤️

Trust in God & In Yourself

Our life has a purpose. When God created each one of us He had a plan in mind and a mission for us to accomplish. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. God wants us to be hopeful, to trust Him and to do our best to accomplish His plans for us. He’s not asking us to figure everything out but instead He’s asking us to trust Him and to trust in His pan for our lives.

As we place our trust in Him & come closer to Him our purpose will become clearer and He will be better able to guide us toward becoming who He desires us to become. ❤️

Having hope and faith in God brings us the power to act. We know that we can’t just wish for things to happen and that’s it. When we have faith in God we gain a stronger desire to ACT! we’re more willing to put in the work necessary toward reaching who we are meant to be. God said; “Whatsoever thing ye shall ask the Father in my name, which is good, in Faith believing that ye shall receive, behold it shall be done unto you.” (Moroni 7:26)

God is ready to bless us if we have a pure heart, if we seek Him & Ask Him, BELIEVING that we will receive. How amazing is that? This is where our faith is tested & where God is able to show Himself in our lives. Christ said; “If ye will have faith in me ye shall have power to do whatsoever thing is expedient in me.” (Moroni 7:33) That scripture promises us that we will have power through our faith to accomplish the desires of our heart that align with the desires that God has for us. So, with our Faith in God, we’re better able to see more clearly which goals we should focus on and actually accomplish them.

We can go to God daily & from Him receive wisdom and power to accomplish those things. We can then Act toward our goals taking the daily action to move closer to our goals. God will help us achieve our physical, spiritual, emotional or temporal goals. He knows what’s in our hearts and because He loves us and wants the best for us, HE WILL HELP US! TRUST HIM AND TRUST IN YOUR ABILITY TO DO THIS FOR YOURSELF. ❤️

Having faith also allows us to act as if our goals are on their way. That belief and trust in God and in ourselves that we will make our goals possible with his help, will bring motivation. We can ask for daily wisdom to know what to focus on for this day, and we can move forward toward accomplishing that goal. Remember to start out with smaller goals that lead to the bigger goals. The more that we’re able to accomplish the small things the more momentum we will have to accomplish the bigger things. Practice seeing yourself accomplishing your daily goals. Visualize yourself doing it and having Gods help to achieve what is in your heart. feel yourself getting Healthier, stronger, becoming more peaceful, accomplished etc. ❤️

When you have those days when notice yourself comparing where you are to where you want to be, focus on this one question: “What single, small decision can I make right now to move forward in my process of becoming? Write down your thoughts and feelings and be aware of what comes to your mind. That’s one way you can know which action to take. Also, there may be times when we feel like giving up on our goals because we slipped or made a mistake. But remember to be kind to yourself, Don’t give up. Just take a moment to evaluate what led to the mistake or the negative thought and wether your process should be modified to help prevent it from happening in the future. If you know your goals are worth working toward you will keep trusting and moving forward with faith in God.

Finally, Remember that rather than focusing solely on the outcome of the goal, put your energy into the process of becoming. In a process, every moment is important. You can enjoy feelings of small daily successes. You can learn from setbacks, rather than treating them as signs of failure. In a process of becoming you can find joy in each moment, you can be grateful for the opportunity to be a work in progress. You can remind you to LOVE YOURSELF DAILY! And be compassionate and speak kindly to yourself. You trust that as long as you are working the process, which is an essential part of exercising faith in God, reaching your goal will be the natural outcome.

So, make it a point today to re-evaluate your goals! Think about what you’re working toward and what God wants you to place as your top priorities. Align yourself to that knowledge and that desire to work toward the things which are important. Make a plan, start small, visualize and give yourself grace and the motivation that you need to accomplish each thing. If we want something we just work toward it. Make it a pleasure to work on yourself daily and on your journey of becoming. Find joy in this journey and move forward trusting and having faith in God and in yourself. ❤️

With God all things are possible! You can do it! Count on Him, do your best & go for it. ❤️ HOPE, ACT & BECOME.

Out SPIRITUAL GOAL for the month is to accomplish some goals. Set 3 goals that you want to work toward. Break down the steps and set aside the time daily to act on them. Ask God in Faith to help you & get to work. And to continue to give yourself daily grace. You can do it! Plus, God has promised the POWER for you to accomplish it. Stay motivated and make it it happen. ❤️

Our PHYSICAL GOAL for the week is to exercise at least 3 days and to eat as clean as we can. Choose nutrient rich snacks and try to remove the sugary drinks. Try to be conscious of your choices and the different things that are going into your body. Make it easy for yourself by having healthy snacks available so you don’t get super hungry and reach for the bag of chips in the pantry. Make the decision, help yourself and track it if it helps you and you’ll notice the difference in your mood and energy. Your body will thank you for choosing good food 🙂 ❤️

We will have CLASS TODAY AT 5:00 pm! Come enjoy the sunset, release stress, and do something awesome for your body, Mind and Spirit. Only YOU can do this for yourself. Make the promise to to yourself and keep that promise! That’s how you can LOVE yourself more and more. As you keep those promises to yourself 😉 So, put on your workout clothes ahead of time and drive yourself to class! (That’s the hardest part) I promise that you’ll leave feeling AMAZING!!! Centered, peaceful and motivated to take on the week and accomplish your goals.

Hope to see you there and that you’re able to keep this message and goals in your heart. God will strengthen you & help you to accomplish them. Trust Him & DO YOUR BEST ONE DAY AT A TIME. ❤️

I Choose To Love Myself ❤️

Happy New Year!! As we begin 2022 I know that many of us start to plan out our goals and all that we want to accomplish this year. Many of our New Years resolutions involve loosing weight and getting healthier.

As I thought about this, I realized that the majority of us have probably been eating more during the holidays and by the time the New Year hits we feel kind of yucky end up creating some of these “health goals” from a negative perspective about ourselves. We say negative and unkind things to ourselves and I don’t want us to start the year creating goals that come from a negative self image about us. Instead, I want us to consciously choose to do the opposite.

During the holidays my family and I were able to spend a little time in North Carolina. While we were there, we talked about the beauty of each place. We named our favorite things about the beautiful nature we see in Florida, and how it has these incredible sunsets and breathtaking beaches. We also talked about the beauty of NC and how we experienced the same amazement by looking at the mountains and the forests. We felt so thankful to be able to experience the Beauty of Gods creations everywhere we went.

Just like the earth, animals, and plants that God created on this Earth, God also created us. He created bodies for our spirits to be housed. Our bodies are the temples to our spirits. We take care of nature and our temple/sacred buildings because of our love for them, their beauty, and the blessings they bring to this earth. When we think of our bodies let us try and think of them with the same admiration as we do towards the temples and the rest of God’s creations. Let us try and take care of ourselves as we would nature and our temples.

We can express daily gratitude for the creations that God has placed on earth for us. And most importantly for the ability that we have to be able to see, touch, smell and enjoy the beauty around us and the gift of having this body. It’s truly amazing how it all works. And even till this day science continues to study how the human body works. It truly is a divine creation. You come from divinity. Your soul has Divine DNA. Try for a moment to close your eyes, take some deep breaths and look within yourself at how the love of God flows through you and how this soul and body that you poses is truly a gift from a loving God who wants you to LOVE AND CARE for it ❤️ That loving God has even given you the gift to be able to CHOOSE for yourself what you want to think, what choices to make etc.

You have the freedom to choose how to take care of yourself. How to speak to yourself, what to feed yourself and how to allow your Mind and Spirit to GROW! God loves you so much He gives you the freedom to choose what to do with this amazing creation He has given you. The more we’re able to express gratitude for our body, the more we will be able to find our connection to God and the more inspiration we will gain as to the ways in which God wants us to care for our ourselves.

I invite you this year to connect more to yourself to CHOOSE TO LOVE YOURSELF MORE! To grow our confidence in God so that you may easily see the type of love you should have for yourself. Ask God to help you love yourself more and do all that you do from a place of Love and honor to yourself and to God. The daily choices we make are opportunities to honor ourselves and glorify God. Choose to life your life from a place of honoring your Body, Your Mind and your spirit because you know you’re a Daughter or Child of God. You have a Body to remind you of this daily! Make it your goal this year to strengthen and LOVE TAKING CARE OF YOUR BODY, MIND & SPIRIT.

The spirit and the body are the soul of man. The body and the spirit are meant to work in harmony with one another. We should, try to take good care of our physical bodies as well as our spirits. So, when you make up each morning and you see that sunrise or when you look at yourself In the mirror take a moment to thank God for what He has given you today. PRACTICE Speaking kindly and lovingly to yourself. Try to find the beauty that God has given you. Not only in the physical way but also the emotional and spiritual parts of you. Find your light, focus on that divine light within you and allow it to GROW! Focus your goals this year on coming from a place of love and not dissatisfaction with yourself. God doesn’t want you to allow the enemy to make you feel bad about yourself. Instead He wants you to TRUST HIM MORE THIS YEAR! TO LOVE YOURSELF & TO DO YOUR BEST ONE DAY AT A TIME ❤️

The goals that you set for yourself can come from a place of love. ❤️ GROW the appreciation for yourself daily! Make the choice daily to feel good about yourself. Recognize what your AMAZING BODY is able to do for you daily! For how it breaks down food and gives you energy. For how you’re able to process and CHOOSE to focus on good thoughts. For the opportunity to choose good exercise and healthy food to fuel you and for the blessing that it is to have it and be able to take care of it.

1 Corinthians 6:19 Says, What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

As 2022 begins, our Goal for this week and this month of January, is to come from a place of love, gratitude and appreciation. Express daily gratitude for your body, say your daily prayers and ask God to help you choose nutritious food and exercise to help you achieve your goals this month. Ask Him to help you tap into those things that will motivate you to move your body, to strengthen your mind and Spirit. It takes daily dedication. But you can do this! You’ve got this! You can accomplish your goals in a loving way and with a desire to help you gain a greater love for yourself and for all that was been placed around you. Remember to take it one day at a time and to choose today to take care of yourself and to be happy! ❤️

See you tonight at 5pm to start the New Year right and to do something AMAZING for your Body, Mind and Spirit! Come release stress and leave feeling renewed and ready for the rest of your week.
