The Battle Is In The Mind šŸ’›

In a world filled with noise, distractions, and shifting values, it’s easy to forget about the importance that our mind plays in our daily life.

Take a moment and to check your thoughts. Are they positive? Negative? Helping or hurting you? When we can acknowledge that a lot of what we experience has to do with our thoughts, we can choose to be a little more vigilant and careful about what we allow to come into our minds.

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about how to prepare my mind for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. That thought might seem like an overwhelming task for any of us. But the scriptures and the words of prophets assure us that this preparation doesn’t begin with dramatic gestures or grand events—it begins in the quiet places of our hearts and minds.

The Mind is a Sacred Battlefield.

The battle between good and evil isn’t just playing out in world events or cultural movements. It’s unfolding within each of us, every day. The adversary knows that if he can gain influence over our thoughts, he can distort our feelings, weaken our faith, and distract us from our divine potential. Elder Neal A. Maxwell once said, ā€œThe greatest battles of life are fought out daily in the silent chambers of the soul.ā€

Satan seeks to sow doubt, fear, pride, and confusion. He whispers lies that we are not enough, that repentance won’t work, or that we can’t change. But the Savior speaks peace. He offers clarity, truth, and hope. Through the Spirit, He whispers, ā€œBe still, and know that I am Godā€ (Psalm 46:10).

Prepare Mentally & Spiritually:

Peter exhorted the Saints to ā€œgird up the loins of your mindā€ (1 Peter 1:13). In other words, we are to prepare mentally and spiritually for the challenges and blessings ahead. Just as we prepare physically for a journey, our minds must be disciplined, protected, and filled with light if we are to stand ready when He comes again.

Here are a few ways we can prepare our minds for Christ’s return:

1. Fill Your Mind with Truth

The Holy Ghost teaches us truth. As we study the scriptures and the words of living prophets, our minds are enlightened. We come to recognize falsehood more easily, and our desire to follow Jesus Christ grows stronger.

ā€œFeast upon the words of Christ; for behold, the words of Christ will tell you all things what ye should doā€ (2 Nephi 32:3).

2. Practice Daily Mental Discipleship

Our thoughts shape our destiny. When we choose to think kindly, to turn away from temptation, and to focus on gratitude, we invite the Spirit. Mental discipleship means being intentional about what we allow into our minds through media, conversation, and personal reflection. Music is also a huge way to influence the mind. Listen to music that draws you to Christ. To loving and being kind. All of the things that we watch and listen to DO influence our thoughts and actions.

3. Embrace the Power of Repentance

When our thoughts wander or when we fall short, repentance realigns us with heaven. It clears the mental fog and replaces shame with peace. President Russell M. Nelson has called repentance a ā€œjoyfulā€ gift—one that helps us stay mentally and spiritually prepared for the Lord’s return.

4. Visualize His Coming

Ponder what it will be like to see the Savior again. Let that sacred hope influence your daily thoughts. The more we long for His return, the more we will align our minds with His ways. The Second Coming is not something to fear—it’s a reason to rejoice and prepare.

Victory Begins—and Ends—with Christ

While the battle between good and evil begins in the mind, the victory belongs to Christ. As we yield our thoughts to Him, He transforms not only our minds but our entire lives. He doesn’t just want us to believe in Him—He wants us to become like Him. That’s what we strive for, to be better, to be kinder, loving, forgiving and more like the example of the Christ that we know. ā¤ļø

In the end, it is not fear or force that wins the war in our minds—it is love. Love for the Savior, love for truth, love for our eternal potential as sons and daughters of God and love for ourselves and others.

So, let’s make it our goal to protect our minds daily and to invite all that is good to reside within us. God wants to help us in this process of strengthening our mind. We can pray and ask for inspiration on ways to help our mind. We can meditate and set time aside to calm our minds and to find peace in Christ from one moment to the next.

As we prepare for His return, let’s make it our goal to start with our thoughts. Let us guard them, refine them, and lift them to higher, holier places. Because when Christ comes again, He won’t just look at the world—He will look into our hearts and minds, and as we strive to do this, He will find that we a place prepared for Him. šŸ’›

I hope that you may feel a stronger desire to protect your mind from the enemy and fill it instead with the light of God. This is our goal for this week. Notice how much better your mind feels as you strive to do this.

I hope that you can make it to class tonight to release stress and strengthen yourself physically mentally and spiritually. Our meditation will be focused on strengthening our mind so please invite whoever you think would benefit from tonightā€˜s class. Love you all and hope to see you there! šŸ™‚

Finding Stillness šŸ’–

We live in a world buzzing with constant noise—notifications, scrolling feeds, 24/7 news, and never-ending entertainment. It’s easier than ever to fill every quiet moment with something that feels productive, entertaining, or comforting. But in the midst of that noise, we risk losing something far more valuable: our connection to heaven.

Distraction is the Enemy of Revelation. When we allow the outside world to constantly come in and disrupt our peace, we make it harder for us to receive the inspiration and the revelation that we need.

Elder Richard G. Scott once said, ā€œThe inspiring influence of the Holy Spirit can be overcome or diluted by strong emotions, such as anger, hate, passion, fear, or pride. Similarly, spiritual promptings can be missed if we’re too busy, overwhelmed, or distracted.ā€

The truth is, many of us are missing personal revelation—not because God has stopped speaking, but because we’re too distracted and we’ve stopped listening. šŸ™ The Lord speaks in a still, small voice. But how can we hear that voice when our minds are constantly pulled in a hundred different directions?

As I’ve thought about distractions this week. I’ve realized that my phone is my biggest source of distraction. It steals time away from the people that are around me. It steals time away from my goals, from being able to serve, listen and help someone. I’ve also noticed that phones have become our ā€œescapeā€ when we don’t want to feel an emotion. So, I’m asking myself today. ā€œHow do I want my relationship to be with my phone? Do I want IT to be the master of me? Or do I want to make sure that I CONTROL, MASTER AND SET LIMITS with this device? šŸ’ŖšŸ¼

Phones aren’t evil—But They Can Be Addictive. Our phones are incredible tools. They connect us, teach us, and help us serve. But like any tool, they can be misused. When we spend hours on social media comparing our lives to others, when we check notifications during scripture study or prayer, when we default to entertainment instead of introspection—something sacred is being traded for something superficial.

President Russell M. Nelson warned us: ā€œThe adversary is clever. For millennia he has been making good look evil and evil look good. His messages tend to be loud, bold, and boastful. However, messages from our Heavenly Father are strikingly different. He communicates simply, quietly, and with such stunning plainness that we cannot misunderstand Him.ā€

We cannot afford to be spiritually numb. Our time on earth is too short and our potential too grand to waste on constant digital noise.

How to Fight Distraction and Reclaim Clarity?

So how do we break free? How do we hear the voice of the Lord more clearly and align ourselves with our divine potential?

Here are a few small but powerful steps:

1. Begin with Intentional Stillness

Create space in your day for silence. Mornings or evenings are perfect times to set aside even five minutes to pray, listen, and be still. This stillness invites the Spirit and prepares your heart to receive divine impressions.

2. Practice ā€œSacred Breathingā€

Try a simple breathing exercise before prayer or scripture study: inhale deeply for four counts, hold for four, and exhale for four. Repeat a few times while focusing on a phrase like ā€œBe still and know that I am God.ā€ This grounds your spirit and quiets your thoughts so the Lord’s voice can come through.

3. Fast from Distraction

Just as we fast from food to refocus spiritually, we can fast from digital distractions. Try taking a break from social media, YouTube, or streaming apps once a week. Use that time to study the scriptures, write in your journal, or simply be with your thoughts and with God.

3. Guard Your Sacred Time

Prioritize scripture study, prayer, temple worship, and Sabbath observance with your whole heart. Put the phone in another room. Let God know He has your full attention. He always notices.

4. Strengthen Your Willpower Through Covenants

Covenants or promises to God are powerful spiritual anchors. When we remember who we are and the promises we’ve made, we find the strength to act instead of being acted upon. Our willpower grows stronger when we act deliberately to keep our covenants—especially in a distracted world.

5. Ask God to Help You See Clearly

If you’re overwhelmed, confused, or discouraged, ask for help. Pray for clarity. The Lord will help you discern between what is good, what is better, and what is best. His wisdom cuts through confusion.

You Are Meant for More

God has great things in store for you. He placed you here for a reason and wants to guide you. Make time to receive those promptings, and the revelation that you need for your life. He will help you in your relationships, with the way you spend your time and He will bring miracles into your life. It juts requires your attention, stillness, intention, and time with the Lord.

Let’s remind ourselves that we were never meant to live distracted. We were meant to live directed—by our Father in Heaven, Our loving Savior Jesus Christ and by the Holy Ghost.

So, today, choose to unplug a little more so you can connect a lot more—be ready to listen to the little impressions that come to your heart. To that still small voice and then you will know what to do next. Allow yourself the opportunity to connect with God, with yourself, and with what truly matters. You’ll be amazed at what opens up when you make space to hear His voice.

Hope that you can make it to class tonight to release stress, disconnect from the distractions and connect to your body, mind and spirit.

Love,

Lili 🌸

Nourishing The Whole Self šŸ’–

In a world filled with constant demands, fast-paced schedules, and unrelenting challenges, it’s easy to feel stretched thin, pulled in every direction and left wondering how to find balance. Yet, many of us have been blessed to have learned about divine truths that teach us the importance of nurturing not just one aspect of ourselves, but the whole self: body, mind, and spirit.

This holistic approach to self-care is not just a fleeting trend or some nice words to say. It’s actually been taught by God our Father in Heaven and by our Savior Jesus Christ. When we learn to care for all three elements of our being, we unlock greater peace, strength, and purpose.

The Body: A Sacred Temple

Our bodies are gifts from a loving Heavenly Father. In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, Paul reminds us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Ghost and that we are ā€œbought with a price.ā€ Recognizing the sacred nature of our physical bodies inspires us to treat them with reverence and care.

This means nourishing our bodies with wholesome food, getting sufficient rest, and finding joy in movement. It also means avoiding substances or practices that harm our physical well-being. As we strive to avoid addictive substances or practices, and as we strive to care for our body, we are better able to align ourselves with God’s design, and we invite greater health and vitality into our lives.

But caring for our bodies goes beyond physical health. It’s about cultivating gratitude for the miracle of life itself. When we honor our bodies, we acknowledge their divine purpose as vessels to carry out God’s work on earth. We can express gratitude for everything that our bodies are able to do for us daily. And we can allow ourselves to walk day to day filled with love and gratitude for the body we are given and the blessing of being able to care for it and love it.

The Mind: A Gateway to Truth

Our minds are incredible gifts. Capable of creativity, reasoning, reflection and growth. In Doctrine and Covenants 93:36 says; ā€œThe glory of God is intelligence, or, in other words, light and truth.ā€ Caring for our minds means dedicating ourselves to lifelong learning, filling our thoughts with all that is positive, uplifting and good. And seeking knowledge in both spiritual and temporal matters.

In a world overflowing with information, it’s important for us to be discerning. Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf has taught, ā€œSeek out the majesty, the beauty, and the exhilarating joy of the truths of the gospel. They will lift your spirits and cause your burdens to fade into the backgroundā€. We also read in D&C 88:118 Seek ye diligently and teach one another words of wisdom; yea, seek ye out of the best books words of wisdom; seek learning, even by study and also by faith.

Developing our minds also includes protecting our mental health. Turning to the Savior in times of stress or discouragement, seeking professional help when needed, and surrounding ourselves with supportive people are all ways to strengthen this powerful and amazing gift of our mind, that God has given us.

The Spirit: Anchored in Christ

At the core of everything is the spirit. The eternal part of us that connects with God. Nurturing our spirits involves daily habits of prayer, scripture study, seeking quiet moments and worship. It’s through these practices that we hear God’s voice and feel His guidance in our lives.

The Savior Himself set the perfect example of spiritual self-care. He often withdrew from the crowds to pray and commune with His Father (Luke 5:16). Likewise, we must prioritize time to be still, reflect, and reconnect with the divine.

President Russell M. Nelson said: ā€œThrough daily prayer and feasting upon the words of Christ in the scriptures and the words of living prophets, we can receive the Savior’s guidance and protectionā€. When we invest in our spiritual well-being, we are strengthened to face life’s challenges with faith and hope.

Striving for Balance

Caring for the body, mind, and spirit is not about perfection but about progress. Some seasons may demand more focus on one area than another, and that’s okay. The key is to strive for balance and listen to the quiet promptings of the Spirit, which often guide us toward what we need most.

When we take the time to nurture ourselves holistically, we become better instruments in the hands of God. We are more prepared to serve, love, and fulfill our divine potential.

Heavenly Father gives us a divine invitation to care for our whole beings. Our own individual body, mind, and spirit working together in harmony. By caring for each part of ourselves, we honor His plan and draw closer to Him. As we seek to nurture our whole selves, let us remember the Savior’s loving invitation:

ā€œCome unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you restā€ (Matthew 11:28).

Through Him, we can find true rest, healing, and joy as we strive to care for the beautiful, divine creations that we are. Let us embrace this journey with faith, knowing that we are never alone. & that God has a beautiful plan and purpose for our lives. He loves us and wants us to love, care and protect our whole self. Recognizing that each day comes with a blessing a gift and an opportunity to care for this body, mind and spirit.

I pray that this message will allow you to feel a little more connected to the divine love of our creator and loving Father in Heaven. That you may have a stronger desire to care for your whole self and that you may be a light to others on their journey of loving and caring for themselves as well.

Tonight in class, we will have an opportunity to strengthen our bodies, release stress, quiet our minds and give our spirit a little time to recharge. I hope that you can join us and that you can leave feeling amazing physically, mentally and Spiritually. Love you all & can’t wait to see you there! šŸ’–

Seek Divine Wisdom šŸ¤

We live in a world overflowing with opinions, advice, influence and endless information that it becomes easy to get lost in the noise. Social media influencers, self-help books, and even well-meaning friends often offer their perspectives on how we should live, what success looks like, or how to find happiness. But amid this flood of worldly wisdom, we must ask ourselves: Are we seeking truth from the right source?

This week as I was praying and studying my scriptures, I opened to Proverbs chapter 2 where it says, ā€œThe Lord giveth wisdom, knowledge, and understanding–Walk-in the way of good men.ā€

It also said ā€œMy child if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;

So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; šŸ’›

Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;

If thou seekest wisdom as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;

Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.

For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.

He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.

Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.

When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;

Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee.

And then in chapter 3 He tells us

ā€œTrust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.ā€ ā¤ļø

Reading those words this week felt like they went straight to my heart and soul. I felt like I want to strive more from now on to seek more true wisdom for my soul. I felt that I need to stop listening to all the stuff on social media, the internet, people’s opinions etc. AND JUST GO DIRECTLY TO THE SOURCE OF ALL WISDOM. šŸ¤

So, that’s precisely what I did. I offered a prayer asking God to help me find wisdom and to help me hear exactly what He wanted me to hear or what He had for me this week.

I felt myself fully believing the words I had just read. I knew that as His child, He would provide the wisdom that I need using this time and after waiting a little while after I prayed, I had an incredible experience! I heard Him speaking directly to me! I felt it in my heart and mind and I heard Him say ā€œHi my daughter! 🄲 & I instantly started to cry at the thought of knowing that I had just heard His voice say that to me and fill me with His love and Joy of hearing from me at the same time. 😭 I felt that He does know me!?! There’s no way I can deny what my soul heard and felt. The inspiration and wisdom that came to me after that prayer was AMAZING! So much inspiration and wisdom poured into my heart, mind and souls that I wanted to remember it all. This experience is something that I’ll never forget. 🄹

Some of the inspiration and WISDOM that I received was exactly what I needed to hear. It’s very personal and it made my heart and soul feel so much of God’s love and His light that it’s hard to describe.

But I do want to share one of the most important pieces of wisdom that I got from Him, in the hopes that it’s a blessing to you too. That piece of wisdom is, that He told me to be more aware of the distractions that surround me. More specifically, MY PHONE. 😬

I felt that this device tricks us into making us feel that we’re so productive, so ā€œwiseā€ etc…when in reality it’s STEALING OUR DAYS in distraction, we’re by all that we see and watch and sometimes it’s not very good. This little time consuming computer that we carry with us all the time is keeping us less present on what is really happening in front of us with our families, friends etc.

I know that God gave my this wisdom because even though there’s also a lot of good that my phone can provide it’s also stealing from the people and my present surroundings that need my attention. I even felt that God wants me to read my scriptures directly from a book again and not from a creen. 😳 So, I’m now trying to read my paper scriptures again. šŸ™‚ I know that there’s wisdom in that! The notifications and distractions on our phone are keeping us away from strengthening our relationship with god as well as stealing the present moments from us. & we need to do something about it. šŸ’ŖšŸ¼

If I am going to use my phone I want to make sure that it’s with a good purpose for my mind and heart.

Moroni 7 says: But behold, that which is of God inviteth and enticeth to do good continually; wherefore, every thing which inviteth and enticeth to do good, and to love God, and to serve him, is inspired of God.

My reason for sharing this with you, is that this wasn’t the only wisdom that I received from Him. God instructed me this week in amazing ways with what my soul needed to hear.

I offered one prayer. I set aside some time amidst all of the other things in my to do list, to just sit outside, read wisdom from the word of God and ASK THE SOURCE DIRECTLY. šŸ„¹ā¤ļø

I promise you that just as He showed me, He will show you the wisdom that your soul needs. Just go to Him and see for yourself what an amazing and loving God is willing to show you and bring to mind and heart. We just have to be willing to believe Him and to just listen and be in the moment with Him. šŸ™šŸ¼

I hope that this message allows you to feel that there’s a loving God who is longing to hear from you. He wants to say hi to you! He wants to hear how you’re feeling and He is ready to give you wisdom if you seek Him and ask Him. 🄲

I pray that you’ll gain a stronger desire to set aside the distractions of the world and to be more present and in the moment. Leave your phone somewhere else and turn off the tv and the devices and just be in the moment a little more. It’s in those quiet moments when we can feel God the most. That is one of the best amongst other treasures of wisdom that I’ve gained this week and I hope that you can feel a stronger desire for yourself to go directly to the source as well. ā¤ļø

True wisdom doesn’t come from the world. It comes from God. In every season of our lives, whether we’re making big decisions or navigating everyday choices, we need His guidance.

Let us not waste time chasing answers in all the wrong places. Let us go to our Heavenly Father in prayer, seek the influence of the Holy Ghost, and receive the personal revelation we need to walk the path He has prepared for us.

As we do so, we will find not only direction but peace, power, and purpose.

ā€œIf any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God … and it shall be given himā€ (James 1:5). ā¤ļø

That promise remains true—for you, for me, for all of us who are willing to seek the Source.

Hope that you can make it to class tonight at 7pm to strengthen yourself physically, mentally and spiritually. šŸ„°šŸ’–šŸ™šŸ¼

Lili 🌸

Higher Joy šŸ’–

This week I’ve been thinking a lot about joy. I’ve been trying to notice the things that bring me joy, and the things that steal my joy.

It’s crazy how when you focus on something you start to see it everywhere. Like when there’s something you want to buy and you see it all over the place. Or when your phone shows you adds for something you didn’t even think your phone knew that you wanted? …That’s just scary, right? Haha but you know what I’m saying. It’s like the universe knows exactly what you’re looking for.

Basically, the more that we focus on something, the more we invite it into our lives and the more open we are to seeing it pop up everywhere.

This has been my experience with joy this week. I’ve been trying to look for it. Where do I find joy? Where do I loose it? How can I keep it? Etc…& it’s been amazing how God has shown me joy this week in so many ways.

There’s a scripture that says; Adam fell that men might be; and men are, that they might have JOY. šŸ’› (2 Nephi 2:26)

God created us to have joy. Why is that something that we often forget about? & how can we invite more joy into our lives?

God created all of this that surrounds us to cover us in Joy daily. Just look outside for a moment and try to see if you feel Joy looking at nature. ā˜€ļø It’s amazing how many reminders of joy He has surrounding us daily. He also created our families that we may experience joy with them and our posterity. He gave us a Savior to show us the way back to the Father. A savior who is filled with love and joy. His entire plan for us on earth is based on us experiencing and finding Joy in this life.

But just as God created us to have Joy. He also allows us the amazing opportunity to CHOOSE FOR OURSELVES. We get to CHOOSE what we want to think about, focus on, and invite into our lives. So, do we ā€œWANT TO INVITE MORE JOY into our lives? Are we willing to LOOK FOR JOY more intently?

If this is your goal, then you can practice that this very moment. Try to take a moment to just breathe and to find joy right here and right now. Regardless of what is going on around you. Recognize that even in the hardest moments of your life, you can re-focus and find joy not on your circumstances but place your joy directly on the Savior, Jesus Christ, and on everything that God provides for you.

Gratitude and Joy are connected. So, being grateful in this very moment can bring you joy. Notice how Joy isn’t really connected to possessions, power, accomplishments etc. We have a misconception that if we have MORE we’ll be happier, but that’s not true. Maybe we’ll have more ā€œCOMFORTS.ā€ But true happiness and joy goes deeper than that. That’s why the richest people in the world can be extremely miserable and the poorest people in the world can be extremely joyful.

Joy is a state of mind. It’s a practice. We have to want to see it, and invite it regardless of what we have or not have. Our joy has to be attached to our creator. Not to what we have or not have. Our joy in the ups and downs of life should be attached to our Savior Jesus Christ and the God who gives us lasting Joy that surpasses what world can offer. There’s nothing better than connecting to this divine joy.

So, how can you invite more of that divine joy to be in your daily life? Besides, slowing down our thoughts and expressing gratitude for what we have today, we can take some time to pray and speak to God with a sincere heart, having a true desire to listen to him and making time to read His words and learn of Him.

Joy can also be with us as we meditate or give service to others. & by service, that can also mean GIVING JOY TO OTHERS. Did you know that giving joy to others is one of the most powerful things we can do for a person? And one of the things that can increase our joy the most?

Take a moment to think about how you are around your family or those closest to you. Do you try to bring them joy? Or is it the opposite? As we take a moment to recognize and be aware of what we want to work on or change, we show God that we’re willing to try harder and do better. We want to be polished by Him, so that He may help us reach a higher and more joyful way of living. We have to be intentional. We have to want to try and practice Joy, love and peace daily. Just one hour at a time.

God has taught us that ā€œWhen you are in the service of your fellow beings you are only in the service of your God,ā€ & Don’t forget that God will repay your kindness generously.šŸ’–

Besides the time that we can spend with God, the moments that we spend in nature, the gratitude that we express to our creator, and the service we provide. We can also invite Joy by recognizing that we only have THIS DAY to focus on joy. We don’t have to do everything today. We don’t have run faster than we have strength. It’s ok to let go of some things and MAKE YOURSELF A PRIORITY TOO!

Sometimes many of us who are moms completely lose ourselves in the daily tasks, in the running around and the responsibilities…that we completely forget about ourselves. 🄺 We forget about the things that brought us joy or that can bring us joy. We put ourselves last and we don’t take the time to take care of our bodies, minds and spirits. We don’t even make time to socialize with friends, try to learn new things or give ourselves the little TLC that we need.

So, remember that you are way more important than your responsibilities, tasks, or the things to clean and to do. Prioritize yourself a little bit more and try to give yourself way more love than you have been giving yourself. Do something good for your body, your mind and your spirit daily. Set new goals for yourself and work toward them. Always remembering that true joy is found when you recognize the type of God that you have in your life and how willing He is to help you, to comfort you and to support you each hour and each day of your life.

I invite you to look for joy in this very moment and to focus on joy one day at a time. Remembering that even during the hardest times, your joy can be centered and focused on Christ. He will provide for you and help you one day at a time.

I hope that you can make it to class tonight at 7pm to do something amazing for your body mind and spirit and to give yourself the care and love that you need today. We will feel joyful during the time that we have together and we will feel joy as we practice inviting even more divine joy during our meditation. Hope that you can make it and invite others to benefit as well. ā¤ļø

The Power Of Your Thoughts šŸ’›

Sometimes it feels like we can’t control our thoughts and emotions—but the truth is, the more we practice taking control of what we think and how we react, the better we become at navigating life and its ups and downs.

This week—and tonight in class—we’ll talk about how nothing from the outside can affect us internally unless we allow it. It all begins with the chain reaction of an event, followed by our response, which then leads to the outcome.

The equation is simple:

EVENT + RESPONSE (or Thought) = OUTCOME

We have the power to choose our response to everything we experience. What we allow into our minds is up to us. Our reaction determines the outcome, which is why it’s so important to ask ourselves:

• Do I want a positive outcome from this negative situation?

• How can this experience strengthen me instead of weaken me?

• What can I do to respond in a way that brings peace and growth into my life?

It’s amazing that we have the power to choose not to let outside circumstances control our inner peace. Yet, we often forget and hand over that control—giving our power away to people or situations. But our ability to choose our focus and take control of our thoughts is a gift and a responsibility. We must protect our power and use it to respond to life with strength and positivity.

We can train our thoughts to become stronger by using positive affirmations and practicing internal peace. It takes time and consistency, but the more we exercise this choice, the more in control—and happier—we will feel.

You have the power. The question is: how will you use it?

We can change our thoughts. With practice, we can shift from negativity to thoughts that uplift and strengthen us—especially when we need it most. And when we struggle, we can always turn to God. He can help calm our minds and fill them with peace and clarity.

He knows our hearts, our desires, and our goals. We just have to trust Him.

As He said:

ā€œYea, I tell thee, that thou mayest know that there is none else save God that knowest thy thoughts and the intents of thy heart.ā€ (D&C 6:16)

God knows our struggles and how to help us overcome them. As we listen to Him and follow His guidance, we will become stronger and more focused on what is right for us. So remind yourself—even in this very moment:

ā€œGod loves ME. He wants to help me. I can feel His love all around me. I can go to Him, and He will be there for me.ā€

God is good, loving, and caring. He has a plan and a purpose for each of us. Earth is our school—our place to learn how to choose wisely and grow spiritually.

One of the most important lessons is learning how to manage our thoughts. Thoughts lead to emotions → feelings → actions → results. If we want to change our results, it begins with our thoughts.

Everything we experience in life can either help us grow or bring us down—it’s our choice. The more we recognize our power to choose, the more we’ll turn away from seeking validation from the world, and instead, turn to God for guidance. As we open our hearts to Him, He will fill us with peace, strength, and clarity.

We don’t have to do it alone. Our strength doesn’t always come from within—it also comes from divine help. As children of God, we have access to that help when we seek it and listen to His wisdom. God wants us to recognize our potential, our value, and our power. He wants us to be confident in our ability to choose good thoughts, good feelings, and good actions.

We can do this! Let’s trust in His love, believe in His plan, and in our ability—with His help—to live joyful, peaceful, and purposeful lives.

This week’s spiritual goal:

Be more aware of your thoughts and your internal power. Don’t allow outside circumstances to affect your inner peace. Remember who you are—a child of God—and who you’re becoming. Be strong. Choose the thoughts that will bring the best outcomes for your life.

This week’s physical goal:

Remove one unhealthy item from your diet—whether it’s soda, sugary drinks, fast food, chips, or sweets. Choose one or two things to eliminate so you can feel stronger, healthier, and more in control of your body.

I hope to see you tonight at 7 PM as we do something amazing for our body, mind, and spirit. We’ll release stress, build strength, and enjoy a beautiful meditation that reconnects us to our inner power.

Don’t forget: God sees the good you do. Your joy will be greater knowing He is pleased with your thoughts, your feelings, and your actions. These small steps bring peace, happiness, and light into your life.

You are not alone. God is with you. He will strengthen you.

Just do your best today. Take it one day at a time. He will guide you, comfort you, and fill you with His divine love. ā¤ļø

Faith As A Mustard Seed šŸ’›

Life can be really hard sometimes. We all go through things that stretch us, shake us, and leave us wondering how everything is going to work out. But something I’ve had to learn over and over again is this: when we choose to have faith in God, especially when we’re facing challenges, amazing things can happen. It’s in the most tender moments when we can connect to Him and feel His love, peace and support. šŸ’–

Faith isn’t about having all the answers. It’s not about being perfect or never doubting. Faith is about trusting that God is truly here with you, that He sees the big picture, and that He’s working behind the scenes even when you can’t see it yet.

One of my favorite scriptures is in Matthew 17:20. Jesus says that if we have faith even as small as a mustard seed, we can move mountains. I love that. He’s not asking us to have perfect, massive, unshakable faith all the time. He’s asking us to start small, to believe just enough to keep going—and He promises that’s enough for Him to work with.

Think about the story of Nephi building a ship. He wasn’t a shipbuilder. He didn’t have the tools or the training. But he had faith. He trusted that if God told him to do it, God would help him figure it out. And guess what? He did. And the same can happen in our lives too.

Sometimes faith looks like praying when you’re not sure anyone’s listening. Sometimes it’s getting up and trying again when yesterday felt like a disaster. Sometimes it’s just saying, ā€œOkay, Heavenly Father, I don’t get it—but I’ll keep trusting You.ā€ šŸ’«

I’ve had moments where I didn’t know what to do next. Times where I felt totally overwhelmed or heartbroken. But as I kept trying to trust God—kept showing up, kept praying, kept believing—He showed up for me. Not always in the way I expected, but always in the way I needed. It could be with a simple feeling of peace and comfort that could remind me that He’s truly there and can at least bring my heart the peace and love that I need for that day.

President Nelson once said, ā€œThe Lord loves effort.ā€God honors our efforts, no matter how small they feel. When we take even a tiny step toward Him in faith, He can do so much with that. Making time to kneel and pray to Him, inviting good messages and music to our hearts and minds, reading the word of God etc all of the little efforts that we do are seen by the Lord and He will help us with the true desires of our hearts.

So if you’re in a tough spot right now, hold on. Keep trusting. Keep believing that God knows you and loves you. Because He does. He wants to help and bless you. Take action and look up to Him even in the small and little ways that little mustard seed of faith will continue to grow in your heart as you make it a point to see the loving hand of God in your daily life. ā¤ļø Just know that with Him, nothing is truly impossible.

We might not always understand His timing or His plan—but we can trust His heart. And that’s more than enough.

I pray that this week we will focus on strengthening our faith and trust in God. šŸ’ŖšŸ¼šŸ’›That we will come to Him more fully in heart, in purpose and in action. ā¤ļø

Love you all and hope to see you in class TONIGHT AT 7pm To strengthen ourselves physically, mentally and spiritually. šŸ„°šŸ™šŸ¼ā¤ļø

Be Still šŸ’›

Our lives can be either driven by our schedules or by spirit. They can be driven by the constant chatter of our minds or by a place of calm. They can be driven by impulse or by wisdom.

Precious, sacred silence is one of our most essential friends. Our silent time reminds us of who we are and it gives us access to infinite wisdom from which we are guided when making our daily decisions. So why is it so difficult to write it on today’s schedule?

Many of us now have a spiritual practice during which we pray for assistance, read the word of God, meditate, focus on gratitude or find ways to inspire our heart. But as we know, the world pulls ferociously in different directions. It begs us to pay attention, to divide our time, to distract our focus and to be busier than it’s good for the soul.

It takes a mindful effort and awareness to revisit our priorities often, and make the time to connect with spirit. It’s the most important thing we will do in the day. And when we do it first, the rest of the day is driven by moments of intuition gained from connecting mindfully with the source of all love, peace and light.

This is not a duty or an effort. We don’t work to be more spiritually connected; it is who we are. All we have to do is set aside time to check in and to let the noise drop away for long enough to reveal the beauty and calm that resides within us. And if we can just hover there…open… For a moment without jumping in with a thought, within that stillness, is when we’re able to activate our soul’s wisdom.

Having a time during the day to calm the mind and still the soul can be a challenging practice. But that is one of those things that will have lasting consequences in our lives. We deserve to create moments of internal peace for ourselves. Moments to gain higher intuition and guidance. The rewards of doing this for ourselves will reach across all aspects of our being. Every day is a good day to begin learning or to recharge our practice. It’s always better to have progress over perfection.

Our goal for this week is to create more peaceful moments, to quiet our minds, be still and listen. We can ask for inspiration, breathe and take a moment to write down what we feel. As we’re able to keep those notes throughout the week, we will see that God does speak to us. Directly to our heart ā™„ļø That internal peace is always available to us. Silence and peace can become our new friend. God wants to remind us that we can create moments to be still, to Still our souls and to know that He is God. Invite more of that light and wisdom into your day and you’ll feel the difference.

As we choose to make time for moments of peace and quiet. We will be better able to express our feelings to our Father in Heaven. We will be better able to find peace for our soul, we will be open to allowing the light of Christ to enter more deeply into our lives. Allowing Him to purify and remove our negative thoughts and feelings and instead inviting the healing light of the Savior to cover us completely. šŸ’›

I fully believe that it is part of our earthly experience to come and live in these bodies. So that we may learn to live and take care of them. But also, so that we may LEARN to go within ourselves to find the divine stillness that can only come from the presence of God. From where our spirits were born. We must learn this skill of going within and quieting the mind and the world. To really know that we TRUST GOD. To connect to Him in prayer and in spirit.

As we PRACTICE this skill, we will feel a stronger connection to Heaven. More inspiration and insights will come. We will be better able to handle our problems and we will have more trust and faith in God. We will gain a confidence that is divine and rises above any type of worldly confidence. There’s no degree, no amount of money, Power or no self help courses that can bring the type of confidence and peace that only the spirit of God can provide to our souls.

May we quiet our words, calm our thoughts, soften our hearts and still our souls daily, so that we may listen, be open, have faith and receive. & most importantly, let your spirit lead and remember to BE STILL AND KNOW THAT HE IS GOD. šŸ¤

Unfortunately Class is Canceled tonight but we will resume again next Thursday at 7pm. For now, do your best to take care of your body, mind and spirit. Remember that God loves you, He wants to hear from you! Make it your priority this week to make quiet moments for Him and to strengthen yourself from within. Notice His hand in your life and thank Him for your many blessings. He will guide you on what to focus on each hour of your day. & don’t forget that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.

Rooted in Christ ā¤ļø

There will always be people who test our patience, push our boundaries, or make us feel small. Some days, it’s not just people—it’s life itself that feels overwhelming. But what I’ve come to realize is this: we don’t need to face these challenges alone or unarmed. God has already equipped us with truth, strength, and His deep, unshakable love.

When we’re rooted in the love of God, everything changes. His love becomes our foundation—not people’s opinions, not our circumstances, not our past or what we may be experiencing at this time.

As I’ve thought about how to handle difficult circumstances and people in our lives, I continue to be drawn to the idea of being rooted in Christ. ā¤ļø When I focus on my connection to Christ, I’m better able to handle the different situations that arise. I realize that oftentimes I don’t react correctly in the moment…but as I’m rooted in Christ, I’m better able to take a step back and give myself the opportunity to humbly recognize what I may not be doing right. I can give myself a moment to think about how the Savior would want me to react to the circumstances or ā€œdifficultā€ people that I may encounter.

In the scriptures we read;

ā€œI pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power… to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.ā€ — Ephesians 3:17-18

This kind of love gives us confidence—not the kind that boasts, but the kind that stands. The kind that lets you say, ā€œI am a child of God, and I don’t have to shrink to be accepted.ā€ It allows us to speak truth with grace, to set boundaries without guilt, and to show kindness without becoming a doormat. This type of confidence also helps us overcome some of our hardest challenges by reminding us that the love of God is healing. His love is powerful and it fills us with Faith and strength to overcome whatever challenges we may be experiencing.

Being rooted in Christ also teaches us that we can love others without losing ourselves. Jesus did this perfectly. He cared deeply, but He didn’t allow manipulation or disrespect. He retreated when He needed rest. He corrected when there was injustice. And He always acted from a place of divine love—not fear or people-pleasing.

When we begin our day declaring who we are in Christ, it helps us walk in that same strength. That’s why I want to challenge you this week to start each day with prayer and positive affirmations to help keep you rooted in Christ.

For example:

“Heavenly Father, remind me who I am in You today. Help me to walk in Your truth, not in fear. Teach me to love others as my Savior has taught, but also remind me to love myself enough to stand in Your strength. To be rooted in the mercy, grace, peace and the love of Christ. Help me to respond in love, strength and wisdom today. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.ā€

Here are some ideas for daily affirmations that can help us.

(Speak aloud slowly, with belief)

• I am a child of God (John 1:12)

• I am fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14)

• God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7)

• I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13)

• No weapon formed against me shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17)

• The Lord is my light and salvation—whom shall I fear? (Psalm 27:1)

During the day we can practice taking some deep breaths and asking God to help us to respond in the moment of situations. We can remind ourselves to not just react emotionally to things but to stop, breathe and check our ā€œroots in Christā€ to be able to respond as He would want us to.

And finally, we can end our day in gratitude. Thanking God for the opportunity to help us polish ourselves and try to do better with overcoming our circumstances. We can ask God to wash away anything that wounded us and to renew our mind in love and be filled with His peace.

We can also remind ourselves of these words;

• You are fearfully and wonderfully made.

• You are filled with power, love, and a sound mind.

• You are allowed to say no, to speak up, and to do it in a way that is confident in God.

• And above all, you are deeply loved by God—and nothing can take that away. ā¤ļø

So, Let His love be your anchor and your confidence today. Let yourself be rooted in Christ. ā¤ļø That you may be able to give yourself the love and attention that you need. That you may also have the wisdom to walk away when you need to and to speak in wisdom and love continuing to have the peace and confidence of God by your side.

God wants us to learn how to navigate life with Him by our side. He wants to teach us that there are blessings to a of a life that’s rooted in Christ. Our patience will become stronger, our ability to manage our relationships will be filled with wisdom and we will truly become what God intends for us to become. As we prepare to meet God, we strive to better ourselves. & that choice blesses not only us, but those around us. ā¤ļøšŸ’ŖšŸ¼šŸ„°

You’ve got this! More importantly—He’s got you.

Hope that you can make it to Class tonight at 7pm!! We will have an awesome workout that will leave us feeling physically stronger šŸ’ŖšŸ¼šŸ„° & we’ll have a meditation that will remind us to be rooted in Christ and leave us feeling peaceful and relaxed. Hope that you can join us!!! ā¤ļøšŸ¤©šŸ‘šŸ¼

Finding Joy šŸ’–

You know that feeling of loosing an item and really wanting to find it? It can be frustrating and stressful to look for it. In some cases we cry because we really want to find it. Most of the time when we realize something is missing we do all we can to try to find it. & looking for it can be a full adventure in itself, but we still have faith that we will find it and we look forward to experiencing the the joy of being reunited with the lost item.

This analogy can relate to those moments when we notice that we have lost something precious about ourselves. When we loose our Joy, our happiness, hope, self esteem or anything that you notice that you’ve lost within yourself.

Challenges and difficulties come to all of us, none of us are exempt. It is part of life that we experience the ups and the downs so that we may learn, have empathy for others and grow as we go through the fire of our challenges. We can recognize that we can grow from our challenges and we remember that if we’re loosing something in those moments we MUST DO ALL WE CAN TO FIND IT or bring back a feeling of joy and peace or whatever it is that we’re needing back into our lives.

Remember that there are people on this earth seem to have it all but yet, they’re miserable. & others who have absolutely nothing and yet, they’re some of the happiest people on earth. Choosing joy is not dependent on our circumstances or what we gain or loose in life. It’s based in WHAT WE CHOOSE TO FOCUS ON. Instead of focusing on the problems all the time we can ā€œlook forā€ finding gratitude today. We can search and look for joy in this very moment. Does looking at nature bring you joy? Or looking at your child or pet? It’s in the LOOKING OR SEARCHING for the beauty and the sacredness of each moment where we can find out joy and our peace.

What we focus on really grows. We see what we want to see-and we create what we concentrate on the most. So if we want peace, love, miracles and blessings, we first have to decide to notice them. Each moment is an opportunity for us to see the sacredness of that moment. We can focus our attention on finding the beauty, the good, the peaceful and the holy in each moment that we’re blessed to experience while we’re in this earth. Even during the hardest of times there truly is beauty, gratitude and joy that we can find around us if we choose to see it.

It’s hard to imagine that God would want us to be miserable, unhappy, lost or filled with negative feelings about ourselves or others, right? He would never speak to us in that way. If anything, it’s the enemy who wants us to be miserable like himself. So, when we can recognize that God invites joy, peace, hope and love into our lives. That means that as we can consciously invite those things into our lives so that we may experience God more fully, even in this very moment.

We can ask ourselves; ā€œDoes God wants me to feel Joy and happiness today?ā€ ā€œDo I trust Him enough times help me find what I need today?ā€ ā€œDo I want to invite Gods divine insights into my life today?ā€ ā€œCan I feel Him here with me in this very moment?ā€ We can choose to allow ourselves to invite more of Gods presence. To reunite with His love, joy or peace even in the mundane moments of our lives. God will be there if we choose to look for Him in this very moment.

& what if all those little tiny moments where we find peace, love and joy are like mosaic tiles made up of some sort of divine clay and paint? Each little moment is like an imprint of Gods love. His fingerprints are seen in the little moments of your lives. The artwork that we will become as we choose to focus on seeing the beauty in the little things. The hand of God and the sacredness of each moment. Continuing to invite all that is good into our lives, regardless of the circumstances…think about what God will allow us to become as we choose to invite Him to be with us more throughout it all. ā¤ļø

Mindfulness is also helpful when we’re looking for more joy or peace. Taking a moment to be present in the here and now, will help us to recognize the little details of this moment we’re living. So, stopping, breathing, checking where we’re at, what we see, touch, smell, taste. & taking a moment to calm our minds and hearts to just see Gods beauty of this moment. That is what will allow us to be better able to recognize what gifts we had lost but that now we can hold on to and enjoy. A gift to fill our heart with love, patience, peace. A gift of having an ability to focus on the beauty and joy that we can see here and now. Being aware of the divine that we can experience. Being swallowed up in the Joy of Christ instead.

We can see it in the morning light, the air we breathe, the thought of a loving friend, the tear over loss, the kindness of a stranger, The bite of food, the soft shirt, the trusty car, the cleansing rain, The smile of a child, the spoon in the pot, the broom on the floor, the very moment that we have to just trust be present in Gods love.

The common miracle here is love- which always wants to be found. Love is all around us, so look! Really look for what you want to find and you will experience the joy of being reunited with the lost thing- the divinity in the small and sacred things of your everyday life, which were there all along.

So, decide that beauty surrounds you today. Make it a point to seek and see the goodness and light that is all around you in the little moments. Watch carefully for beautiful moments and stay present where love is. You get to do this for yourself and you deserve to focus on love, peace and joy in the little moments of your day.

God wants to remind you that He is aware of YOU. Of what you’re going through. He is with you and will never leave you. He is HERE with you right now. You’re not alone. Feel His love. Feel His hug! & allow yourself to be open to experiencing His full peace and love being poured abundantly over you in this very moment. He invites you to notice the sacred in each small moment and to find joy in Him daily. In the daily miracles of your life so that you may begin to see His mosaic work of his divine LOVE FOR YOU.

Our goal for the week is to invite joy, peace, love or the presence of God into the moments when we need it most. Practice taking deep breaths. Calm your heart and mind with the peace of God. And FIND JOY IN YOUR OWN INDIVIDUAL JOURNEY WITH GOD. You’ve got this! šŸ„°šŸ«¶šŸ¼

CLASS IS CANCELLED TONIGHT, but try to make it your goal today to do something to strengthen yourself physically, mentally and spiritually. ā¤ļø Hope to see you you again next Thursday. šŸ’ŖšŸ¼šŸ„°
