Life can be really hard sometimes. We all go through things that stretch us, shake us, and leave us wondering how everything is going to work out. But something I’ve had to learn over and over again is this: when we choose to have faith in God, especially when we’re facing challenges, amazing things can happen. It’s in the most tender moments when we can connect to Him and feel His love, peace and support. 💖
Faith isn’t about having all the answers. It’s not about being perfect or never doubting. Faith is about trusting that God is truly here with you, that He sees the big picture, and that He’s working behind the scenes even when you can’t see it yet.
One of my favorite scriptures is in Matthew 17:20. Jesus says that if we have faith even as small as a mustard seed, we can move mountains. I love that. He’s not asking us to have perfect, massive, unshakable faith all the time. He’s asking us to start small, to believe just enough to keep going—and He promises that’s enough for Him to work with.
Think about the story of Nephi building a ship. He wasn’t a shipbuilder. He didn’t have the tools or the training. But he had faith. He trusted that if God told him to do it, God would help him figure it out. And guess what? He did. And the same can happen in our lives too.
Sometimes faith looks like praying when you’re not sure anyone’s listening. Sometimes it’s getting up and trying again when yesterday felt like a disaster. Sometimes it’s just saying, “Okay, Heavenly Father, I don’t get it—but I’ll keep trusting You.” 💫
I’ve had moments where I didn’t know what to do next. Times where I felt totally overwhelmed or heartbroken. But as I kept trying to trust God—kept showing up, kept praying, kept believing—He showed up for me. Not always in the way I expected, but always in the way I needed. It could be with a simple feeling of peace and comfort that could remind me that He’s truly there and can at least bring my heart the peace and love that I need for that day.
President Nelson once said, “The Lord loves effort.”God honors our efforts, no matter how small they feel. When we take even a tiny step toward Him in faith, He can do so much with that. Making time to kneel and pray to Him, inviting good messages and music to our hearts and minds, reading the word of God etc all of the little efforts that we do are seen by the Lord and He will help us with the true desires of our hearts.
So if you’re in a tough spot right now, hold on. Keep trusting. Keep believing that God knows you and loves you. Because He does. He wants to help and bless you. Take action and look up to Him even in the small and little ways that little mustard seed of faith will continue to grow in your heart as you make it a point to see the loving hand of God in your daily life. ❤️ Just know that with Him, nothing is truly impossible.
We might not always understand His timing or His plan—but we can trust His heart. And that’s more than enough.
I pray that this week we will focus on strengthening our faith and trust in God. 💪🏼💛That we will come to Him more fully in heart, in purpose and in action. ❤️
