I Am A Clean Vessel šŸ’›

We live in a world overflowing with noise. Notifications buzz, screens glow late into the night, terrible news and opinions—mostly negative—shout from every direction. It’s easy to feel like we’re drowning in distraction, addiction, and emotional clutter.

This week I had a day where I noticed I was on my phone way too much. I was scrolling the news and spending way more time watching all of the terrible things that are happening. I felt terrible after seeing all that. It didn’t uplift me at all! Instead I felt stressed anxious and negative.

So, I decided to say a little prayer and ask God to help me disconnect from the negative feelings and allow me instead to focus on the good, on all that is uplifting and on what allows me to be present and in this moment. I realized after that prayer that God always gives us hope and the opportunity to choose and change for ourselves. He wants us to recognize the deceptive ways in which the enemy traps us into feeling miserable like himself and He wants us to recognize the power that we have as children of God to reject the negative, push it out of the way and invite the good into our hearts and minds instead. šŸ’›

We are not powerless in this digital storm. In fact, we can choose to rise above it. We can train our minds, discipline our hearts, and become clean vessels for God’s light and love.

The Savior taught, ā€œLay up for yourselves treasures in heaven… For where your treasure is, there will your heart be alsoā€ (Matthew 6:20–21). In a world addicted to instant gratification, we’re reminded to treasure up wisdom—not fleeting entertainment. President Russell M. Nelson has invited us to ā€œhear Himā€ in the midst of the chaos. But to truly hear Him, our hearts must be quiet, our minds still, and our spirit open.

We have to remember that our mind is like a garden. What we plant is what will grow.ā€ If we constantly plant fear, gossip, comparison, or anger through what we watch and hear, our inner world mirrors that. But when we plant peace, gratitude, spiritual knowledge, and truth, we grow into strong, beautiful souls—anchored in the divine.

I also love the analogy of a clear cup. In mindfulness we practice that every morning we get to fill our empty vessel with what we choose. Do we want to fill it with murky water or trash? Or do we want to fill it with light and clean water? Meaning that we watch, listen to, read etc. Are all ways in which we fill our cup either with good or bad. The choice is always ours. We are the vessel and we fill ourselves with what we choose and its consequences. So, in a world that’s becoming darker šŸ™ we can choose to be like the sun! ā˜€ļø and to light up ourselves daily with our choices, the way we spend our time and what we choose to watch, listen to and do. šŸ’›

✨ So how do we become clean vessels in a world full of clutter?

Here are a few simple practices:

1 Choose what you consume.
Instead of waking up to your phone, wake up to a scripture, a devotional, or a silent prayer. Start the day feeding your spirit, not your scroll.

2 Protect your mind like a sacred space.
Turn off toxic content. Listen to uplifting music. Read something that teaches truth. Fill your ears and eyes with words that build, not break.

3 Treasure wisdom in your heart.
Like Mary, who ā€œkept all these things and pondered them in her heartā€ (Luke 2:19), we can reflect deeply on truth. Pondering creates roots; roots keep us grounded.

4 Make your body and soul a temple.
The Spirit dwells in clean vessels. Not perfect ones, but willing ones. As we let go of distractions, we invite clarity, purity, and power from above.

5 Practice soul-consciousness.
Remind yourself that we are not just our bodies—we are eternal souls, children of God. Remembering this truth helps us rise above worldly traps and return to our divine nature. Thinking higher and Celestial can help us get through anything that we may be experiencing. ā¤ļø

šŸ’› Remind yourself that you were created for light. When the enemy wants to keep us distracted, fearful, depressed and trapped. We can remind ourselves that God speaks differently. In His words we read that His eyes are upon us. That He is with us in our midst even when we can’t see Him. That He will lift us, send angels to help us and strengthen us. Most importantly, we learn and know that HE LOVES US & truly wants to help us no matter what!

We were never meant to be enslaved by our screens, or buried under the weight of constant comparison. Remind yourself today by saying ā€œI am a divine child of God, and He is calling me to rise.ā€ When I choose to let go of the world’s noise and fill my heart with light, I make space for the Spirit to guide, comfort, and teach me. I become a vessel of love. Of peace and of power.ā€

Let’s be intentional with what we allow into our minds and hearts. Let’s be still long enough to hear Him whisper truth. Let’s treasure up wisdom, walk in love, and shine in this darkened world. That’s our goal for the week. So, turn off your distractions and fill yourself whether that is your inner vessel or the garden of your mind with love, light, truth, peace and strength. Because when we are full of light, the darkness cannot remain.šŸ’›

Let Go & Let God šŸ¤

At some point in life, we all experience pain caused by others- whether through words, actions, or disappointments. This pain can quietly settle in our hearts, affecting how we see ourselves and others. But the truth is: we are not meant to carry this hurt forever. We are meant to rise above it. Letting go is not weakness. Instead it can bring us power and freedom.

When we can remember that we are the ones who get to choose if we allow what that person does or say to affect us…We realize that it’s all in our control. We can choose to let go. We can choose to heal. We can choose to learn from it and rise above it.

Holding on to hurt is like holding a hot coal waiting to throw it at someone—it only burns you. Expecting others to understand the pain they caused or to apologize can keep us trapped. We can’t always control what others do, but we can control how we respond. And that’s where our healing begins.

Meditating is a powerful tool that can help us to let go. One of the best ways we can do this is by taking a moment to quiet our minds and hearts and to just breathe! Taking a moment to remind ourselves of what we practice in class. ā€œI am love, I am a peaceful soul.ā€ This daily affirmation reminds us of our original nature. When we meditate on the truth that I am not my pain, I am peace, we begin to loosen the grip of emotional suffering.

Another great practice that we can do is:

Each morning, sit quietly for five minutes. Gently repeat:

ā€œI am light. I am peace. I let go of what no longer serves my spirit.ā€

Visualize the pain leaving your body as light enters and fills you.

We know that we think about affects and influences how we feel. If we keep replaying what hurt us, we deepen the wound. But if we reframe the experience, we begin to change its power over us.

For example we could try doing this:

Write the hurt down, then rewrite it through a new lens:

ā€œThis experience taught me boundaries.ā€

ā€œI learned how strong I am.ā€

ā€œI now know what I will no longer accept.ā€

God wants us to learn and help ourselves to heal and rise above the challenges that we face with others. The Savior taught, ā€œBlessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercyā€ (Matthew 5:7). Mercy includes releasing people from the expectations we had for them.

President Dieter F. Uchtdorf said,

ā€œStop it. It is that simple. We simply have to stop judging others and replace judgmental thoughts with a heart full of love.ā€We don’t forgive to excuse others—we forgive to heal ourselves and allow God to carry the rest. When the thoughts toward someone come into our mind we can stop šŸ›‘ the judgement and re-focus our minds and hearts on letting go and focusing on better thoughts for our minds and hearts.

One of our biggest if not our most powerful tool, is the power of prayer! We can ask Our Father in Heaven and our Savior to help us heal our feelings toward others. We can say;

ā€œFather, I choose to forgive. Help me surrender this pain to You. Lift the weight I can’t carry alone. Help me to let go and strengthen me as I release this to you.ā€

We have to rise above for ourselves!

As we go through our life journey we all have to learn to let go of what is not uplifting and positive for us. The things we experience are meant to help polish us. We can grow, learn new things to practice, we can be compassionate with ourselves and learn to see others with compassion too. Everyone carries pain but if we can learn to let go of ours, we can be a light to others to help them let go of theirs. šŸ’›

Letting go doesn’t mean pretending nothing happened. It means acknowledging the pain and CHOOSING to rise above it. Like a lotus flower. 🪷 we can be surrounded by murky, yucky water but we can rise above it. We were not created to stay small and bitter. We were made to grow, expand, and rise. For our own internal peace and for those around us as well.

Try this journaling prompt:

• What am I still holding on to that is no longer helping me grow?

• What would I feel like if I let it go right now?

šŸ•Šļø we need to remember that we are Children of God! Lived and individually know by Him. A He will help you in your journey. We are not defined by what others do to —we are defined by who we are becoming.

Let God rewrite your story. Let peace become your new power. Let love become your way forward. Your healing begins with a choice—to let go, to rise up, to move forward. šŸ’›

Choose peace. Choose growth. Choose you.

Hope to see you tonight at 7pm to do something amazing for our Body, Mind and spirit. Love you all and hope that you can make it and invite others to benefit as well. ā¤ļø

Be Still šŸ’›

Our lives can be either driven by our schedules or by spirit. They can be driven by the constant chatter of our minds or by a place of calm. They can be driven by impulse or by wisdom.

Precious, sacred silence is one of our most essential friends. Our silent time reminds us of who we are and it gives us access to infinite wisdom from which we are guided when making our daily decisions. So why is it so difficult to write it on today’s schedule?

Many of us now have a spiritual practice during which we pray for assistance, read the word of God, meditate, focus on gratitude or find ways to inspire our heart. But as we know, the world pulls ferociously in different directions. It begs us to pay attention, to divide our time, to distract our focus and to be busier than it’s good for the soul.

It takes a mindful effort and awareness to revisit our priorities often, and make the time to connect with spirit. It’s the most important thing we will do in the day. And when we do it first, the rest of the day is driven by moments of intuition gained from connecting mindfully with the source of all love, peace and light.

This is not a duty or an effort. We don’t work to be more spiritually connected; it is who we are. All we have to do is set aside time to check in and to let the noise drop away for long enough to reveal the beauty and calm that resides within us. And if we can just hover there…open… For a moment without jumping in with a thought, within that stillness, is when we’re able to activate our soul’s wisdom.

Having a time during the day to calm the mind and still the soul can be a challenging practice. But that is one of those things that will have lasting consequences in our lives. We deserve to create moments of internal peace for ourselves. Moments to gain higher intuition and guidance. The rewards of doing this for ourselves will reach across all aspects of our being. Every day is a good day to begin learning or to recharge our practice. It’s always better to have progress over perfection.

Our goal for this week is to create more peaceful moments, to quiet our minds, be still and listen. We can ask for inspiration, breathe and take a moment to write down what we feel. As we’re able to keep those notes throughout the week, we will see that God does speak to us. Directly to our heart ā™„ļø That internal peace is always available to us. Silence and peace can become our new friend. God wants to remind us that we can create moments to be still, to Still our souls and to know that He is God. Invite more of that light and wisdom into your day and you’ll feel the difference.

As we choose to make time for moments of peace and quiet. We will be better able to express our feelings to our Father in Heaven. We will be better able to find peace for our soul, we will be open to allowing the light of Christ to enter more deeply into our lives. Allowing Him to purify and remove our negative thoughts and feelings and instead inviting the healing light of the Savior to cover us completely. šŸ’›

I fully believe that it is part of our earthly experience to come and live in these bodies. So that we may learn to live and take care of them. But also, so that we may LEARN to go within ourselves to find the divine stillness that can only come from the presence of God. From where our spirits were born. We must learn this skill of going within and quieting the mind and the world. To really know that we TRUST GOD. To connect to Him in prayer and in spirit.

As we PRACTICE this skill, we will feel a stronger connection to Heaven. More inspiration and insights will come. We will be better able to handle our problems and we will have more trust and faith in God. We will gain a confidence that is divine and rises above any type of worldly confidence. There’s no degree, no amount of money, Power or no self help courses that can bring the type of confidence and peace that only the spirit of God can provide to our souls.

May we quiet our words, calm our thoughts, soften our hearts and still our souls daily, so that we may listen, be open, have faith and receive. & most importantly, let your spirit lead and remember to BE STILL AND KNOW THAT HE IS GOD. šŸ¤

Make it your goal today to come to class tonight at 7pm! šŸ’›The hardest thing is always showing up. So, put on your workout clothes as a sign of the promise that you’re making to yourself to be there! šŸ’ŖšŸ¼šŸ„° Turn your attention away from the world and focus on giving yourself the gift of one hour to yourself tonight. šŸ’–

We will release stress, have fun, strengthen ourselves and calm our minds to have an amazing meditation of stillness that will help us feel relaxed and renewed. I promise that you won’t regret doing this for yourself. Just show up and feel the difference. ā¤ļø

Remember that God loves you, He wants to hear from you! Make it your priority this week to make quiet moments for Him and to strengthen yourself from within. Notice His hand in your life and thank Him for your many blessings. He will guide you on what to focus on each hour of your day. & don’t forget that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.

Inner Peace Keeper šŸ’›

With everything going on in our world, and the different challenges that we all face, It’s easy to allow the chaos of it all to increase and cause greater emotional stress, fear and anxiety.

We see that not only is our peace constantly being affected, but new research has also shown that our levels of addictions or the ways in which we choose to numb our emotions is also increasing. Have you noticed that the world as a whole is having a harder time controlling their feelings, thoughts and emotions? People can’t seem to control themselves. Sadly, we’re becoming a society that’s more disconnected, divided and addicted. Numbing our emotional stress with outside sources and completely forgetting how to stop, breathe and silence our minds and hearts.

Think about what we tend to resort to ā€œto help us feel better,ā€ we often times reach for food, our phones, TV, entertainment, shopping, posting on social media in search for compliments or validation, we reach for substances, gossiping and many other activities that seem harmless at first. But, but little by little become the ways in which we buffer our emotions. These types of activities tie us down to being controlled by them. We loose our ability to genuinely regulate our inner peace, based on the power that we have and our ability to ask God to help us.

When we can acknowledge the ways in which we’re becoming more dependent on outside sources to bring us inner peace, we can take a good look at those things and start to work on them. Most of the time we don’t even realize how much we’re allowing those things to control our emotional state. Or how we’re ā€œnumbing the discomfortsā€ of life, which little by little begin to dim our inner peace more and more. Remember that the world, and the enemy of your soul will always push for you to become dependent on outside sources. So that you may become a ā€œslaveā€ to those things. The enemy will even lie to you and tell you that it’s too uncomfortable to sit with your feelings. That you can’t look within yourself etc…But that’s how he ties us to more material things and keeps us away from God. The enemy knows that if he can keep us distracted, unable to process our feelings and definitely doing everything in his power to prevent us from speaking or communicating with God. Then, that’s how he wins. Making us miserable like himself.

God, our Father in Heaven, on the other hand wants us to be able to rise above that. To CHOOSE FOR OURSELVES to turn to God for the help we need. He wants us to create within ourselves that strong desire that we may know that WE ARE HIS CHILDREN. & that as such, WE HAVE ACCESS TO DIVINE POWER, LIGHT AND GREATER PEACE. He wants us to know that we don’t need to depend on anything material or of this world to bring us the peace that we seek. But to know instead, that God is the giver of our peace. That He can provide that peace abundantly even admits the storms of life. So that when the rains come and the waters rise during our storms, we may be able to know in whom we trust and remain peaceful and faithful.

This week I want to motivate you and encourage you to push past the discomfort & take a deeper look within yourself. Remember that this will most likely not feel very comfortable at first, and you may be tempted to grab your phone or turn on the TV, or call a friend to gossip or whatever else you try to do to get out of fully sitting for a moment and just feeling your feelings and emotions.

The goal is to practice when you’re triggered by something, šŸ’› to just take a moment to close your eyes, cover your ears, breathe and feel within yourself what’s going on. Take a moment to see your feelings and thoughts clearly. If it’s possible, see them from a distance so that they’re not fully ā€œ thoughts that are attached to you.ā€ But then, take a moment to invite divine light and ask God to be with you. To give you His LOVE, His STRENGTH, and His PEACE to remove those feelings. Then allow yourself to FEEL THAT AMAZING POWER FLOWING FROM GOD INTO YOUR HEART, MIND AND SOUL. Remember that nothing in the world can compare to that feeling of knowing that something comes directly from God to you. ā¤ļø & If you’d like to record your feelings or write down any wisdom that God places in your heart. Then, that will be a blessing to you as you go and act in what He tells you. The more willing you are to receiving, the more you’ll gain.

Also, take a moment if you can to acknowledge the things that you honestly know that you use to ā€œnumbā€ your emotional discomfort. Think about what comes up for you. Ask yourself what are some of the things that steal my peace? Think about what you do when you’re angry or stressed. Do you reach for your phone or food or something else when you’re uncomfortable or stressed out? Do those things bring you lasting peace? Or how do they leave you feeling afterwards? These are all questions that we rarely ask ourselves. But it’s important that we get to know ourselves in this life and the WE BECOME OUR OWN BEST FRIEND! OUR OWN BEST CHEERLEADER AND OUR OWN PROTECTOR OF OUR PEACE. When we can notice and recognize what happens internally, we will be better able to PRACTICE inviting more of the good to be with us and it will become easier to reject the negativity and all that is bad for our minds, hearts and souls.

So, take a moment to practice breathing, to check on your emotions and to change them for the better. Give yourself love, compassion and be proud of your ability to look inward without the need of outside sources to allow you to check in with yourself. To feel the emotions, to reach to God who is the true giver of lasting peace and allow Him to help you clear the internal chaos & RETURN TO PEACE OFTEN.šŸ’›

Set a goal for yourself this week that you will be your inner peace keeper. Try to allow the quiet moments you have to connect to that higher source of peace and love which comes from God. Ask Him to help you focus on your internal light and peace instead of what the world wants you to focus on. Find strength in your ability to practice this & notice how it will change everything for you and the way in which you view yourself and your ability to retain your peace. As you practice this skill, it will increase your inner power day by day. You’ve got this! The choice is yours.

Remember that God invites each of us to fully place our trust on HIM. He is the prince of peace, who invites our souls to receive true, long lasting and eternal peace.

John 14:27 Says: ā€œPeace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.ā€ā¤ļø

God wants us to rely on Him so that we may not be troubled or afraid. Whatever is troubling you today, Whatever is bringing you fear or frustration….Take a moment to sit with those feelings and if possible view them from a distance. Recognizing each emotion and how it presents in your body. For example; ā€œThis is anger, my chest or throat feel tight..etcā€ ā€œI want to release this emotion and allow myself to come to peace & calmā€ Invite peace to be with you. Breathe into those areas of stress until fully calm.

Remember also to allow yourself to speak to God as you release those feelings and allow Him to take them from you. He will remove those emotions and replace your thoughts with what a loving God would tell you. Allowing yourself to invite His peace and love to renew you and to recharge your heart and soul is the most amazing therapy that you can give to yourself. So, trust Him. He is the king of peace, the giver of all that is good. The creator of Love and light. There’s nothing greater on this earth than being able to experience the peace that can only come from a loving God. He will strengthen you, help you and lift you every single day and hour of your life. ā¤ļø I pray that you’ll be able to feel His peace and allow yourself to be the KEEPER AND THE PROTECTOR OF YOUR PEACE.

This is our Spiritual goal this week is: To gain greater inner peace. šŸ’ŖšŸ¼šŸ’› To be the KEEPER OF OUR PEACE! The PROTECTOR or our peace who doesn’t depend on material things to help us feel better. But instead that we may have the wisdom to know where true peace comes from. To lean on our ability to invite silence and inner peace to this very moment. Saying to ourselves ā€œ I choose this hour to keep my peace centered on a God who sees me, who hears me, who loves me and who wants to help me. I am the protector of my inner peace and I choose light, love and peace to be with me surround me on this day.ā€ ā¤ļø

Our Physical goals is to exercise at least 2-3 times this week and to give our body more water and healthy nutrient rich foods. ā¤ļø

Class is canceled tonight. But we will see each other again next week. Love you all and do your best to take care of yourself physically, mentally and spiritually. šŸ’–

The Power Of Service šŸ’›

Have you ever had one of those days when an opportunity to serve presents itself and you feel like it came at the most inconvenient time? 🫣 You feel that you have so much going on already that it’s hard to add one more thing?….But then you go and give that service anyway?

That’s what happened to me this week. When the opportunity presented itself, it felt like it came at the most inconvenient time, but I’m so thankful for the lessons that I learned from going and giving the service anyway. Even though we tend to complain about ā€œthe timingā€ of things we have to remember that our timing is different from Gods timing.

Even though I felt rushed and that it was inconvenient for ā€œmy scheduleā€, something amazing happened when I showed up to help. I instantly felt an energy shift within me and I even felt myself apologizing to God for my little ā€œdiva attitudeā€ about it. It’s amazing how the shift came so quickly and I instantly felt NOT FOCUSED ON MYSELF BUT FOCUSED ONLY ON THE PEOPLE I WAS HELPING 😭 ā¤ļø My heart was changed instantly and I felt God’s love take over for those people. It not only my blessed them, but it changed and blessed me too. ā¤ļøā€šŸ©¹

At the end, one of the ladies that I was able to help handed me a yellow rose as a way to thank me. That instantly made me want to cry. 🄹 Seeing that yellow rose reminded me of how each one of us can give a light and be a little ā€œyellow rose for othersā€ and as we serve, we see that those we serve end up being a light to us as well. We just have to be willing to set aside ā€œour timeā€ and be willing to serve and be God’s hands as much as we can. When I got home I shared the experience with my babies and I’m now drying that yellow rose and keeping it as reminder to give service whenever possible.

I learned so many lessons from this small experience with service. Suddenly what had felt overwhelming was now feeling lighter. My heart was softened, I felt true Christlike love. ā™„ļø The love that doesn’t judge, but that just gives in charity and kindness. It’s the kind of love Christ showed every day of His life. When we choose charity, we’re choosing to see people the way He sees them. When we choose to serve and to be charitable and kind we’re choosing Christ.

Elder Jeffrey R. Holland once said:

ā€œTrue charity is love in action. The need for charity is everywhere. Don’t expect to be perfect. Just be honest and sincere.ā€

Sometimes we think service has to be big to matter—but it doesn’t. Christ healed, taught, and ministered one by one. A smile, a kind word, a thoughtful text, holding the door open, listening without interrupting—these are small things that carry eternal weight and provide light to others as well as to ourselves.

When we serve, we forget ourselves. And that’s when real joy begins.

President Thomas S. Monson said:

ā€œWe are the Lord’s hands here upon the earth, with the mandate to serve and to lift His children. He is dependent upon each of us.ā€

What an amazing thought—we truly are His hands! He trusts us to help Him love His children.

How This Way of Living Changes Us

When we live with charity in our hearts and serve with love, amazing things happen:

• We become more confident, because we know who we are in Christ.

• We become more joyful, because we’re focused on giving, not comparing.

• We grow stronger in faith, because we feel the Spirit more often in our lives.

Service softens us. Charity expands us. Living this way makes our lives richer…not in things, but in meaning.

Lets Make It our Goal

So, here’s a simple challenge for all of us.

šŸ’› Each day, find one way—big or small—to serve someone.

šŸ’› Pray for charity, and look for ways to show love that doesn’t judge.

šŸ’› Fill your mind with light, and trust that God will do the rest.

As we do this, our hearts will change. Our soul will feel lighter. Our burdens will feel more manageable—because we know we won’t be carrying them alone.

Remember the Savior’s words:

ā€œInasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.ā€ —Matthew 25:40

Let’s be people who lift. Who love. Who serve. Who try a little harder to be a little kinder. To give a little more light and to be a little yellow rose to someone today.

As we focus on living with charity, we live like Christ. ā¤ļø

The Lord gave me way more from this experience than what I would’ve gained if I had said no to the opportunity to help. That’s the true power of service. It lifts others, it’s softens hearts and it lifts us to a new level which draws us closer to Christ and fills us with way more joy and peace. And that changes everything. 🌟

Please share your service stories with me too! I would love to hear your experiences and grow from them too! 🄹

Love you all and hope to see you tonight in class to strengthen ourselves physically, mentally and spiritually. 🄰 Class will be canceled next week. So, hopefully you can make it tonight & do something awesome for yourself! šŸ’ŖšŸ¼šŸ¤©ā¤ļø
