✨ Becoming Whole Through Self-Reliance ✨

Self-reliance is not just about standing on our own—It’s about standing with God and aligning our lives with His light so we can live with peace, strength, and purpose. 💛

The Savior taught that if we build on a firm foundation, “the winds and the floods” cannot shake us. That’s why we can’t to depend on people, things and situations “to be right” for us to “feel good.”

We have to strive to be emotionally self reliant. We’ve learned that the mind is like a garden: if we plant good seeds, we will reap peace, clarity, and abundance. Together, these truths show us that becoming self-reliant is a sacred journey of partnership with God and with our divine DNA.

Here are some steps that we can take today to grow stronger in these important areas of our lives. 💪🏼

🌿 Emotionally: Practice gratitude and compassion. Pause in moments of stress, breathe deeply, and remember that you are not your emotions—they’re like visitors, just passing by. They’re not your identity. Replace fear with faith and resentment with forgiveness. And like we talked about last week. Allow Christ to help you with your emotions and your thoughts. ❤️

💡 Mentally: Guard your thoughts as treasures. Feed your mind uplifting words, scriptures, and pure knowledge. As the Prophet Paul taught, “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Each positive thought is a step toward freedom. Listen to good things, watch good things. Keep your mind focused on gratitude, joy, & counting your blessings.

💪 Physically: Care for your body as a temple. Nourish it with wholesome food, move it daily, and rest it with intention. Strength in the body gives strength to the spirit as well. Don’t forget to find joy in the movement and the exercise that you bring to your body. Love your body and express gratitude for all of the amazing things it it does for you daily. 🫶🏼

🙏 Spiritually: Connect daily with God through prayer, meditation, and scripture. In stillness, listen for His voice. As we covenant with Him and live in harmony with eternal laws, He adds His power to our efforts. Remind yourself of your relationship with God! Know in your heart that HE LOVES YOU & WANTS THE BEST FOR YOU!! You can do all things through Christ and He will be with you from one moment to the next.

💰 Financially: We can focus more on living more simply, not comparing ourselves to other or the unrealistic expectations of the world around us. We can live in daily gratitude for what we have and we can take steps to avoid unnecessary debt, pay off what we can and save what we can as well. I once heard someone say, “abundance is not just about wealth—it is about using what we have with wisdom and generosity. God multiplies the offerings of a faithful heart.”

So, for today, let’s choose one small step in each area that we can strengthen and work on. We can choose to plant the good seed in our mind to have positive thoughts. We can choose to take the walk or come to class tonight. We can say the prayer with more intention. We can save the dollar. Or choose to be patient with others, write a kind thought. It’s in the small, steady actions that we take that we create a foundation of peace and freedom.

As we walk this path, we do not become self-reliant to be alone—we do it so we can lift others, serve with joy, and stand strong with God.

Hope that you can make it to class tonight and allow your body, mind and spirit to feel strengthened and renewed. Love you all and hope to see you tonight! 🥰💖

Love,

Lili 🌸
