Finding Sunshine ☀️

On cloudy and rainy days, it’s easy to feel lazy, gloomy, or even discouraged. Storms—whether in the weather, our circumstances, or our thoughts—can weigh heavily on our hearts. But we are not powerless. God has given us the ability to choose how much of that darkness we let inside. Each day, we get to decide whether to carry the storms within us, or to seek out the sunshine. ☀️

It’s during the storms of our lives or when the negativity of the world gets to us, that we need to remember that nothing good is built on that negativity. If we continually look for the storm, we will miss the light. Instead, let’s choose to open our hearts to the good, the hopeful, and the uplifting. The more we look for God’s light, the more we will see how much sunshine we already have in our lives. 🌼

Here are a few ways to invite that light and push away the storm clouds:

• 🌿 Gratitude: Begin and end the day by naming blessings, big or small. Gratitude shifts our focus from what is lacking to what is abundant.

• 🤝 Service & Connection: Give your attention fully to a loved one, or serve someone quietly in need. Light grows as we share it.

• 🙏 Prayer & Scripture: God has given us His words for guidance and strength. When storms rise, turn to His promises. Memorize scriptures and listen to uplifting music that draws your attention to God and your divine light.

• 🌸 Mindful Presence: Peace is found by turning inward and remembering our divine nature as children of God. Even in chaos, we can pause, breathe, let our mind, body and soul unwind and invite the sunshine of Christ to light and bless the light within us to be brighter and stronger.💛

The scriptures remind us:

• “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7)💖

• “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you… Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:27) ❤️

• “Verily, verily, I say unto you, I will try you and prove you… nevertheless, my peace I will give unto you if you are faithful.” (Doctrine & Covenants 98:12, 18)💛

These words remind us that God wants us to be positive, hopeful, and resilient. Even when storms come, we can grow from them—just as flowers grow stronger after the rain. When we let go of the bad and hold on to the good, we carry more sunshine in our souls and we can share that light with others as well.

I invite you to focus on seeking the sunshine of a loving God who is able to open up the rain clouds of your life and pour His divine light and love over you. Over your mind, your heart and your soul.

He is able to bless you with His Peace which is greater than any other peace the world can give. So, lets be faithful to Him. Believe in Him. Come to Him and choose to reject the negativity and focus on bringing more of His light into our lives. That we continue to grow stronger in our faith each day having a spirit of happiness and of optimism about our lives. 🥰💛🙏🏼

WITH CHRIST ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE! Trust Him and see what He can do in your life. As we strive to bring in the light, we can share our light with others and help them as well! 💝

✨ Our Spiritual Goal this week: When your mind seeks out storms, pause. Ask: Where is the sunshine here? What good can come from this? Then choose to focus on the light. 🌤️

🏃 Our Physical Goal this week: Do something active that brings you joy! Whether it’s walking on the beach, dancing, swimming, or simply stretching—let your body remind your mind that life is good and it’s a blessing to take care of your body.

I hope you can make it to class tonight! The hardest step is always showing up, but once you do, your mind, body, and spirit will thank you. It’s more than a workout—it’s a way of choosing light, healing, and joy. 🌞💛

Love you all!
