In a world filled with noise, opinions, and countless claims of “truth,” it can be hard to know what to believe. Every day, we are surrounded by voices—on screens, in conversations, and in our thoughts—each insisting that their version is right. But truth is not something the world defines. Truth is eternal. It comes from God. ☀️
Jesus Christ declared, “I am the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). He is not only the source of truth—He is truth itself. When we come unto Him, study His words, and follow His light, we begin to see clearly. The Spirit confirms to our hearts what is real and right.
Lately I have wanted to turn off the opinions of the world and instead focus on seeking truth directly from God. I’ve realized that there’s a lot of things that I’ll have to let go of, and just let God in His timing reveal the truth of those things to me. Other things though, I have chosen to ask God directly and I’ve had really beautiful experiences receiving truth spoken to my heart directly from the Holy Ghost and from the giver and provider of all truth. 💛
The scriptures teach, “The Spirit of truth… will guide you into all truth” (John 16:13). And in the Doctrine and Covenants, the Lord reminds us that “the glory of God is intelligence, or, in other words, light and truth” (D&C 93:36). Light and truth always come from God, and as we seek them, darkness and confusion must flee.
We see this beautifully in the example of Moses. After speaking with God and beholding His glory, Moses was confronted by Satan, who tried to deceive him. But because Moses had experienced the light and truth of God, he immediately recognized the darkness of the adversary. He declared, “Who art thou? For behold, I am a son of God, in the similitude of his Only Begotten” (Moses 1:13). Knowing his divine identity gave him the power to discern deception.
Like Moses, we too are sons and daughters of God. That truth alone gives us power. ❤️ When we remember who we are—and whose we are—we can discern truth from falsehood, light from darkness. The Holy Ghost will confirm truth to our hearts if we are humble, prayerful, and willing to listen. 🕊️
As we fill our minds and hearts with the word of God, uplifting influences, and things that invite the Spirit, we strengthen our ability to recognize deception. Truth brings peace, clarity, and light. It draws us closer to Christ. Falsehood brings confusion, fear, and doubt—it leads us away from Him.
As we strive to exercise wisdom in what we allow to come into our minds and hearts, we will be better able to discern truth and allow the Holy Ghost and Jesus Christ to speak truth and peace to our heart.
Our spiritual goal for this week is to seek for truth directly from God. Make time to be alone with God and to ask Him to help you find truth directly from Him. After praying just wait, have your journal ready, and write what comes into your heart and mind. Give yourself time to be present and ready to listen to Gods wisdom. Trust in Gods love, listen to His voice and feel in your heart the message that God has for YOU. ❤️
& if you want to allow more wisdom to come, let God speak to you directly from His words. Search His words and you’ll be amazed at the messages that are revealed to your heart and mind. Remind yourself that GOD LOVES YOU! As you choose to go to Him He will reveal truth to your heart and mind and even more amazing things than you think are possible. 🤍
So when the world offers many “truths,” measure them against the light of Christ. Ask yourself:
✨ Does it bring me closer to God?
✨ Does it fill my heart with peace?
✨ Does it align with what the Spirit confirms is right?
Truth will always pass those tests.
As the Savior taught, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32). When we live in truth—His truth—we walk in light. And in that light, we cannot be deceived.
I hope that you can make it to class tonight at 7pm to release stress, strengthen your body and allow your mind and spirit to let go of stress and the voices of the world. Our meditation will be focused on inviting the light of Christ to fill your hearts and minds with His peace and love.
Remember to do your best ONE DAY AT A TIME. 💛
Love,
Lili 🌸
