In a world that is filled with so much chaos, and that constantly pulls us in different directions, it’s easy to feel out of balance. It’s in those moments when we need to be reminded of the importance of taking care of going back to the basics and learning to take care of ourselves. To remind ourselves that we are beautifully created with a body, a mind, and a spirit that deserves care, attention, and love. ❤️
When we nurture all three areas of ourselves, we begin to feel more grounded, more peaceful, and more aligned with God’s purpose for us. Which is exactly why we need in the world we’re living in.
Let’s start with our bodies. Think of the amazing gift that it is to have this body. We’re able to learn the difference between sickness and pain and experience seeing our amazing bodies healing themselves and letting us know when something is wrong. There are so many things that we take for granted in our bodies. It’s important for us to learn to speak positively to ourselves about our bodies and express gratitude for having this body. God taught us that our bodies are temples entrusted to us. This is where our eternal spirit resides, and taking care of them doesn’t have to be complicated.
It begins with small, intentional choices: moving daily, nourishing ourselves with wholesome foods, resting when we’re tired, and listening to what our body needs. Even a simple walk, stretching in the morning, or drinking more water can become acts of gratitude. As it teaches in 1 Corinthians 6:19–20, our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. When we care for them, we honor God and ourselves.
Here’s a goal that we can practice:
• Move our body for 20–30 minutes a day (walk, dance, stretch)
• Drink more water than usual
• Pause and take 3 deep breaths when feeling overwhelmed.
Now let’s focus on our mind and the importance of strengthening our minds. 💪🏼🧠
Our thoughts shape our reality. What we think about consistently influences how we feel and how we act. Learning to gently guide our thoughts can bring clarity and peace.
Not every thought we have is true or helpful, and that’s okay. We can notice our thoughts without judgment and choose to replace negative ones with truth and light. Philippians 4:8 says; We are invited to think on things that are true, honest, just, pure, and uplifting.
Here’s an exercise we can practice to help strengthen our mind;
• When a negative thought comes, pause for a moment and ask: Is this true? Is this helpful?
• Replace it with something truthful and kind
(Example: “I’m not enough” with ➡️ “I am learning, growing, and doing my best.”)
• Also practice writing down 3 things you’re grateful for each day. Gratitude and choosing our thoughts is one of the best easy to strengthen our minds.
& finally nurturing the Spirit. 💛
Our spirit is where we connect with God. When we strengthen our spirit, everything else begins to fall into place. I’ve noticed in my life that when my health isn’t well, I try to focus on nourishing myself spiritually and that helps me to overcome my health challenges much better. 🥹 Same with my mind. When my thoughts are not very positive or doing well, I can focus on my spirituality and it also helps me to re-focus my thoughts and to help me overcome my negative thinking.
I fully believe that God wants us to first strengthen ourselves spiritually, to them be able to help all of the other areas of our lives with His guidance. This doesn’t require perfection, just consistency and a willing heart that’s ready to hear from God and learn from His words and from speaking to Him daily. ☀️
One of the best ways we can do this is to spend time daily in prayer. We can fill ourselves spiritually by reading a verse of scripture and reflecting on it. We can sit in stillness and pray to God and invite Him into our thoughts, to help us with our worries, and our desires. & to come to know that He truly cares deeply about every part of YOUR life. ❤️
There’s a scripture in D&C 88:63, which says; “Draw near unto me and I will draw near unto you.” That promise is real and available to each one of us every day.
Here’s an exercise that we can practice each day to lift us spiritually.
• Begin your day with a heartfelt and sincere prayer: “Heavenly Father, please help me, forgive me & guide me today…”
• Read a few lines of scripture and think about how it applies to your life or what you can gain from it.
• Throughout the day try to invite thoughts and scriptures that strengthen your mind and help you feel peace, gratitude and love. Practice taking deep breaths throughout the day & end your day with gratitude and reflection.
I also love how mindless and meditation can help. For example doing an exercise like this;
Find a quiet moment. Close your eyes. Take a slow, deep breath in… and out.
As you breathe, gently say in your heart:
• “I am cared for.” (inhale)
• “I am guided.” (exhale)
Picture God’s light surrounding you! ☀️💛 bringing peace to your mind, strength to your body, and calm to your spirit. Stay here for a minute or two, simply breathing and receiving.
I wanted to give you some practical ideas on how to add a little more balance for your body, mind and spirit in your daily life. Remember that NO ONE can do this for you except yourself. Love yourself enough to make the time for this and you’ll feel the difference.
Here are our goals for This Week:
✨ Physical Goal:
Move your body for at least 20 minutes, 4 times this week. Keep it simple and enjoyable—walking, stretching, dancing or light exercise.
✨ Spiritual Goal:
Spend 5–10 minutes each day connecting with God through prayer, scripture, or quiet reflection.
As you care for your body, mind, and spirit, remember you don’t have to do everything perfectly. Small, consistent efforts can make a big difference. 💖 God is not asking for perfection, only your willingness to keep showing up for yourself and to trust that He will help you from one moment to the next.
God loves you and wants to help you on your journey. ❤️ Our goal in this life is to choose the good! To choose God & to recognize that our soul is eternal and that we’re here to learn how to recognize Gods voice and allow Him to guide us throughout our life. 💛
Please remember to be kind and loving to yourself. To count your blessings and be grateful for what you have today. ☀️ Do your best to continue growing, learning and choose to be surrounded by the peace and the love of God daily. ☺️
Hope that you can join us again tonight at 7pm to strengthen yourself physically, mentally and spiritually. We will have a wonderful hour to release stress, dance, stretch and end with and an amazing meditation that will leave us feeling renewed and peaceful. Hope that you can make it and invite others to benefit as well.

Love
Lili 🌸
